I don’t think it’s a coincidence our management, most of the team, and recent draft picks are all Swedish. They brought in Lindholm to play with the freak.

My point is that they don't need the letter to know who the leaders are in the room and often some top leaders don't even have a letter. Often a C is given to a young player who hasn't reached that level of leadership but the GM is showing the market the face of the future and such. The C is a lot of things really, like it's relation to talking with the refs at the box and dealing with the public away from the ice... but it's not always on the best leader. Sometimes the young C is being mentored by leaders in the room without a C. Being groomed by mature leaders to be that person.
