Was there another reason why you think that Boeser is overpaid then? Considering players like Troy Terry, Jordan Kyrou, Kevin Fiala all make more per year than him but are scoring at a lesser rate.
Sam Reinhart has a lesser career ppg than Boeser and some are talking about 9M a year for him. |

PP work before practice. Looks like the units could be changing.
This group is working right now:
🥅
Suter
Garland-Boeser-Miller
Hronek
The other unit is:
🥅
Bains
Myers-Lindholm-Pettersson
Hughes
“Sometimes you need a breather from each other,” says Rick Tocchet of blending the PP units. Says he liked the look of the way they worked on the man advantage at morning skate. |

The average revenue per NHL team last year was over $200 million. I would think any team generating $130 million or more is turning a profit. - golfingsince
Sure, not disputing revenue, but how much does an owner get paid? There’s usually agreements in place on how much money owners can take out of a business, especially when it’s a multi-million dollar business. So if a team does not spend to the cap, the remaining sum does not go into the pocket of the owner. That’s all I’m saying. |

A lot more, according to Forbes. The business-focused media company did its annual audit of the league's finances and found that the average team's operating income (its profit, roughly) for the most recent season was $25 million US. That's up from $18 million the year before — an increase of 39 per cent. That was back in 2018.
If players gave back 20% they could almost double that. |

Well there are so many variables. What's the ownership arrangement for 1, is it a consortium?
I think most owners would sink a good portion back into the team ( facility upgrades, non-essential staff, player perks etc. ), anywhere they can try to gain a competitive edge.
Other revenue will go back to service debt.
Some teams have operating income of over $100 million, I'm pretty sure they're banking some serious scratch. |

Lekker stoned in SO attempt. Then off the post. Scores on his 3rd attempt. For the win finally. 8 shooters a piece. |

Yes, I think Boeser is successful because of the players he plays with. He can’t generate offence on his own. He would be an ok complimentary scorer making $4MM per. He will be looking for $7MM on his next contract and it needs to be another teams mistake |

Totally he benefits from who he has played with but he gets credit for scoring so they benefit as well. He isn’t flashy & fast but isn’t a liability. Dynamics of duos makes him our best top 6 winger easily. These PO’s will give a better gauge on his value.
My guess is Boeser will recognize the Canucks patience while he went through some tough times & wants to stay so a fair to good deal. |

Jason Richardinson just signed a 2 year extension at 4.25 and he has 28 points in 59 games this year.
Tampa Bay extended Brandon Hagel, a ppg complimentary scorer for 8 years 6.5M and you'd have to add 1.5M to that for anywhere else because of taxes.
I agree he isn't a play driver but to think that he has less value than someone like Jason Richardinson is just foolish.
How many other players have been tried in the complimentary scoring role that have failed this season? Is it a mistake to get rid of one that is actually capable of doing the job? |

Morning skate #Canucks lines
Suter. Miller. Boeser.
Höglander. Pettersson. Mikheyev.
Bains. Lindholm. Garland.
PDG. Blueger. Lafferty.
Hughes. Hronek.
Cole. Myers.
Zadorov. Juulsen.
Ă…man. Friedman.
I would like to see Blueger up with Petey instead of Mikky, same type of forechecker just much more physical. |

Wow it’s like RT is trying to get them to compete against each other. Plus PK squads won’t know who to throw their number unit on for lol.

Dlckinson deal is a big over pay to keep him around while kids develop.
You have to add contracts are in USD at a 1.35 exchange rate so it appears nice but is more if a player is living in Canada. Yes not all players buy & live in Canada as say I think Miller does in West Van.
Boeser is the only winger putting up serious points even in his tough times. I don’t think he is greedy. |

That is the same line up that beat Boston. RT is using the strong center approach through the line up. You move Blueger off the 4th makes it weaker with Lafferty to center with Mik.
Have a feeling they will make a trade for a physical winger to replace Mik on Petey’s line. |

Good grief this team needs a bonified top 6 scoring winger. Lindholm on the 3rd... 3rd and 4rth liners on Petey's wing...
Now I don't mind playing your best C's down the middle. Looks pretty strong on paper but it's pretty moot when you don't have the wingers to get the most out of it. You have two incomplete top 6 lines with one of them looking downright terrible.
Week and a half until TDL. We'll see if they address it. If they only add lower end depth, it's going to make the Lindholm trade look like a miscalculation.
I know this team can roll through anyone when playing to their best and healthy but look how unbalanced things became just from losing Joshua... one winger.

Yup losing Joshua hurts. The farm is bare on NHL ready wingers. The revolving door wingers hasn’t found any sustainable chemistry. |

First thought was yes. A reasonable contract for him for me would have been in the 3.5M range but he is currently having the best year of his career. Makes it seem not so bad and closer to "normal" with what others are all getting. |

A Podz call up may be better imo. People will say just let him play and hone his game but I think people quickly forget he has over a season of NHL games under his belt, plays a decent power game and is a scorer. Podz played decent hockey in his rookie season so it's not like he hasnt done it before...

Turned into more of a lineup with Horvat in it now.
Wingers Toffoli, Beauvillier, Kuzmenko all come and gone.
Maybe Pavel Buchnevich would have been a better player to acquire if price was similar for team construct. |
