There are some wingers available out there, no idea what the asking price would be.
Tarasenko, Toffoli, Eberle, Henrique are all pending UFA's. |

Turned into more of a lineup with Horvat in it now.
Wingers Toffoli, Beauvillier, Kuzmenko all come and gone.
Maybe Pavel Buchnevich would have been a better player to acquire if price was similar for team construct. - manvanfan
I'd like that a lot but can't see the blues moving him when they are on the edge of the playoffs presently and the TDL only a week and a half away. I see them adding even...

A Podz call up may be better imo. People will say just let him play and hone his game but I think people quickly forget he has over a season of NHL games under his belt, plays a decent power game and is a scorer. Podz played decent hockey in his rookie season so it's not like he hasnt done it before... - boonerbuck

Tarasenko and Eberle would be bargain deals I think.

Podz may be close to deserving a shot again. But my guess is after the TDL when roster size is not an issue.
It’s only though warranted if Podz can show he’s got enough defensive coverage to his game as Mik. It’s too bad Mik doesn’t have his speed back. Petey would be setting him up for breakaways.

I know people like to downplay this but if they repaired and started to rehab Miky's injury a month earlier instead of playing him a month with a torn up knee, things might be different. He would have been ready for camp, preseason and the beginning of the season. I thought it was a terrible decision and nothing seems to contradict that... on the contrary, it's supported by how average his speed is and how redundant the player has become.... at what 5m per? You have to protect your investment.

Plus he is signed team friendly for 1 more year.
It has been rumoured that if they do go after another player it will be someone younger with term. Drake Batherson would cost quite a bit, Lekkerimaki plus but very good player signed for 3 more years at 4.95M.
Garland and Batherson signed their deals the same year. Batherson .81 ppg since and Garland .58 |

I believe he torn it near the start of the season. But wanted to still play and was pushed into being shut down. Maybe had something to do with playing with his buddy Kuz to have a good season.
Anyway, yeah took too long to just do the surgery. Can take 2 years to fully recover. Which sucks cause he’ll probably be playing somewhere else being traded out for cheap. |

In the end it's the team's decision on this type of injury, not Miky's. Knowing how long the recovery is, it makes no sense to wait. Even if they were still hoping for playoffs, it's not like it was going to heal itself in time for the post season.

I could see Pod or even Raty called up if injuries. Idk what mgmt plan is for Abby come PO’s & if they’ll want to keep a good roster there. |

9 teams with reps on the list in Montreal for tonight’s Coyotes/Canadiens game: BOS, DAL, DET, NJ (2), NYR, OTT, STL, TB, WAS
Van has no interested in any Coyotes or Canadien's players it seems. |

Good read
He could be a fit for EP if they can feed off one another. Pod setting up Petey would be a bonus. |

Still liking Sundqvist to add to the 4th line for cheap. Probably get him for Jacob Truscott's right. |

Don getting all bent out of shape when I suggested the Canucks try for him. Like a lower cap scoring power forward who was having a decent season isn't a good target for our top 6.
Oh wait... it's Petey's fault because he will only play with Swedes. |

If the Canucks are only focused on depth, I would really like Nic Dowd. There's a solid 4rth line C which checks all the boxes. Big upgrade in the bottom 6...

I don't think giving up another first round pick for Nic Dowd would be wise. The same guy who had 3 goals in 40 games in Vancouver once upon a time. |

I think it was Don that said how stupid Winnipeg was and they overpaid for Moneyhands. |
