The best part about it is, those that think it was a complaint, and not an observation. It is a fucken hockey board, not a cheerleading site.

Your opinion is a hockey opinion and everyone else is cheerleading and guzzling? Get bent 😉

Changing skating mechanics is not easy. Otherwise everyone would be burners

More about not wasting energy & learning how to get it to the ice. Video helps a ton. Watching the worlds top sprinters shows little if any energy is wasted with body parts not flailing. Upper body strength & lower body strength in unison maximizes top end speed. 1st 2-3 steps are explosion which idk much about.

I'm not a fan of so many of the secondary assists.

It’s an NHL thing for sure. Padding stats helps sell.

Another thing about Hughes in that game... He played close to 28 minutes. If you are only being judged by mistakes, then the judge and jury are ignorant aholes when the guy was on the ice for half the game.
- boonerbuck

That was definetly part of what I was trying to say. He played 10 minutes in the 3rd and really played unreal. Zadorov played really well, but imo the guy who plays that much and leads the comeback deserves the nod

Miller has to be the most underrated star in the NHL.

Miller & Boeser led the comeback. Z was a dominant force all game.

Playing large amount of minutes doesn't mean you did anything during that time.

And so was Hughes who was literally on the ice and setting up the entire comeback. 10 in the 3rd and most of OT. This isn’t that complicated

it kinda does, but aside from that he was a huge piece of the comeback. Big breakouts, huge possession and passing. I truly don’t need anyone to agree for me to think he was the backbone of that comeback.

No it doesn't, not at all. You can do 50 laps around the rink, doesn't mean you did anything.

Well if the other team doesn’t score and your team does🙃

Don’t know how to react to the laps comment, literally meaningless. Top league in the world, top teams, top minutes.

Do you say the same things when Myers consistently gets #3 minutes, from nhl coaches, but gets ripped apart in here, because several say he is at best a #6 defenseman?
- Reubenkincade

I've been in many Myers conversations this season... pro and con... what is your point other than crying about another young player you hate, #43?

Good grief...

There is a reason some guys are best playing 19-20 minutes a night while others play more. It doesn’t mean they are terrible, just not worth top pair money. He’s a 4/5 dman, has been since he got here. There’s a reason why he isn’t out there against Crosby.

I’m settling this & saying no more. Miller went full beast mode in the 3rd & willed the team to victory against the B’s. Z was crushing B’s stars & skating & playing fantastic ALL night. Hughes had some real struggles & didn’t lead the comeback by any stretch of the imagination.

That's the point, Quinn Hughes or any other defender could hold onto the puck for a minute, do two laps, 3 spins make a pass across the blue line and get it back, then lob a wrister from the corner of the blueline that gets blocked half way to the net. Is that affective if you do that for half an hour a game? It's kind of meaningless but it can be easily done.

no. It’s the NHL. This is not accurate whatsoever. Also it’s ice time against one of the top teams.
