As a kid, I use to head out to the big o with a friend fromt he west island to buy $1 bleacher sets and get a hot dog, bag of chips and a coke for $1.50.

I got $5 a week for allowance.

I'd go 2 x a week, if they were in town.

I was 11-12 at the time.

funny how you remember some stuff very easily, and totally forget others.
I remember going to Jarry parc, very clear memories of the stands, the lights waving according to the wind... I remember extremely well the early 70' Oakland A's 3 championships teams....
and yet I have no memories of Bobby Orr. or the 72' series againts Russia. zip. nothing.

Sal Bando, Gene Tenace and Rollie Fingers ... I remember the A's very well.

I also remember Orr (he was my favorite as a kid) and I remember the '72 series against Russia very well.

Was not old enough to really understand 72, but i do remember watching Orr... will always be the greatest player I ever saw playing. Maybe my age had something to do wit that, but...
