Drury has done a good job with deadline deals, save Kane. He missed that one by a year.

There are issues within the team, despite the terrific record. I believe he knows what he's doing. If he doesn't like what he sees he'll walk away.

The emergences of Rempe, Edstrom and JBrod have eased a lot things in his mind I’m sure, specifically where he doesn’t have to panic into anything. I’ve said all along they really only need around the edges stuff. Guys that don’t cost alot of assets to get or on the salary cap.

It’s a lot like 94 imo, where they didn’t need a star necessarily and had the goods you need where tweaks here or there can get it done. Granted Keenan was very influential on those trades and I don’t think Lavy would be as demanding as he was

Wonder if we see rentals start getting scratched. Feels like last year it already started by this time

He also had a guy named Messier as his leader and 1st line center.

Adding nothing to 1st place team with needs should get him fired immediately.

think it's possible that Buffalo gave Owen Power 8.35 million per year a little too soon?

I'm gonna guess we arent looking at a player from either team, more long term scouting because they still play both of them before season ends

Arizona's weird, there is no one realistically they could sell worth a first or second rounder and they have a bagillion picks anyway

they could probably get a 4th rounder for Zucker I guess

Yea definitely, seems like Bjugstad is somewhat untouchable there tho. Those yotes fans on CF freak out when you ask for him

Mcbain is our guy tho. I think he’s a great fit with Cuylle and Kakko. He’s a big dude

Such a Rangers move to trade a guy away for a 2nd and scrub and then get him back for possibly 2 1sts and prospect 🤦‍♂️

I wouldn’t hate it to be honest, but Drury is a moron

lol you’ll never let it go

They need to retain about 800k to fit him. Maybe get more retainment for another depth move, and it’ll cost another pick. It’s going to cost a boatload of picks in general to get it done. But we have to realize how many prospects we already have where it’s not the biggest deal doing that. We don’t have enough room /spots for everyone as it is. As long as they keep Kakko, Cuylle, Othmann, Perrault, Schneider, and obviously Laf go get him imo

It does seem to be in the cards as the move they make. Especially since Tarasenko isn’t in the cards

Never, I think Drury has been terrible as GM.

I’d take Buch back, just hate what it’s going to cost vs what we got rid of him for.

He would cure a lot of ills for the resident whipping boy this year (Zib). The one thing is it does prevent them from getting another center unless it’s Novak by some miracle. Because I don’t think stl would retain anymore then we actually needed them to do for us to make the deal

Ya, I’m not saying I don’t want Buch. I think he’d be a great addition. Not sure we could get a center after that also and would probably have to settle with Gus being our 3rd pair LHD

We are in first place.

Chytil is out for the season.

We have his (frank)ing 4.3 mil in cap space to add a player.

Former Ranger Pavel Buchnevich would be a good fit for many reasons if they could pull it off.

It has nothing to do with him being traded away a few years back.

Oh my (frank)ing god already.

It’s like omg the reasons don’t matter anymore. It doesn’t matter that we got roasted on that trade or why they did it. We have litigated and re-litigated that trade one billion times.

We wouldn’t have a single dollar available to acquire a player at this deadline if Chytil didn’t get hurt. He did. Now we need to use the money and bring in some help. That’s the only thing that matters
