You would NEVER believe this a fan site for a team that won 10 out of their last 11 and is in first place! - TommyGTrain
All we’re doing is trying to improve an already good team lol I just don’t understand why people have a problem with doing that. Especially this year. Yea we’re good but let’s get better
It’s getting to a point, especially on CF, where it seems like people would rather have 15-20 prospects to build on as opposed to 10-15 and maybe a Stanley cup. I mean cmon man. Like we’ll be ok with less for gods sakes
Not as good/noticeable as Perreault. But that's not fair to Fortescue. He's probably a guy who stays in college for 3 years. Which is fine. - blacksheep1
Yea I just talking to someone discussing the Lindgren contract and saying that 4 years max and that’s when you’d assume Fortesque would come in and be ready for at least bottom pair

That's a draft need. Draft more centers and d-men.

Unless they do something shocking and trade for Hanafin somehow and then trade lindgrens rights in the offseason. But they’re going to probably resign him instead. Guys a warrior but we need not look further than staal and Girardi to see what could happen

He’s only 26. And any injuries have generally been minor. Last year what did he miss like 10-15 games? Shoulder I think. He’s gets banged up sure but he seems to like it lol his face may get uglier but who cares about that. I think one more contract is fine. Him and Fox are like brothers too and that chemistry is important

That’s false by any metric. Miller maybe has the bigger gaffes that stand out more but lindgren has actually been very bad. Below replacement level - picklerick
Both have been bad. I'm not getting into a pissing contest who's been worse. - blacksheep1
I think the difference is work ethic. Lindgrens is light years better than millers. If miller worked harder and played tougher he’d be great. But he just hasn’t been doing that. He’s very soft
Lindgren plays hard every night and you know after every game you’ve gotten his best effort
Miller has been worse, especially recently. - Slimtj100
He hasn't been the same since he broke Goodrow's jaw with a shot in practice a few months ago. Recall when he "took time away" from the team? He wasn't mentally in the game and was shook up from the incident.

With even lackluster work ethic Miller has been significantly better than Lindgren, while still not being that good

Like I see both your points. Lindgren is always gonna bust his balls. While it looks like he's not doing that all the time. Miller analytically, has been better. But that's like biting your tongue or stubbing you toe. Both aren't great.

You don’t allow yourself to judge players by anything other than charts.
This is an example/analogy…the last minute in the game I want Lindgren out there looooooooooong before Miller. I love key, don’t get me wrong, but he’s like Kakko. They have all this talent and putting it together is like a 1 million piece jigsaw puzzle
I’m never frustrated with Lindgren based on my eyes telling me I shouldn’t be

Me either, but I've also watch Lindgren all year, and we've talked about it. Something with him isn't right.

It definitely seems like he doesn’t have a mean bone in his body which you need to have as an NHL defenseman to a certain extent. He’s still raw tho and can still develop more into that

I almost never look at charts. When I do I post them here, so use that as reference. but they also confirm what I’m saying. Like I said Miller has had some terrible moments. I’ve called out many many mistakes by milller on here in real time and don’t think ive mentioned lindgren at all. But on average it’s lindgren by a country mile that’s been worse. Lower ceiling and if he’s not adding defensively he’s got nothing else going on

See, I think Miller has more raw skill and is more gifted/talented than Lindgren. I think Lindgren is (usually) more positionally sound and has better defensive hockey IQ. Lindgren also works harder and is much tougher than Miller. Miller HAS to add some snarl to his game. He has to use his size to his advantage more
