Fighting in the first couple shifts each game is going to get old fast if he doesn't maintain the other attributes of his game. If he can stay on the ice, deliver hits that don't come with majors and work the net front, fine. Otherwise, it's him. I'd like to see more Tom Wilson and less Colton Orr. - fourtrax23
I mean, in limited ice time him and Edstrom have scored goals and he's some big body in front of the net

Yeah, he needs to maintain that like I said. Scoring 1 goal isn't making him a lock for playing over someone that can be brought in with a more established history.
Remember TNT Brashear? (I think it was Brashear) Dude scored two sweet bangers when the game was on TNT but then never really scored again. Feels like that to me so far until I'm proven wrong. |

for arguments sake, say they acquired Vatrano...
that's already one guy currently playing that would need to be scratched
everybody is gonna say scratch Goodrow, which will never happen, so who gets scratched?
Rempe is already a folk hero, people are gonna be disappointed if he's out...
no less bringing two new forwards in here - jimbro83
everybody will say that because that is the correct answer. |

I think gun to their head both edstrom and Rempe are extras in the playoffs with JBrod and Vesey as the ones to be replaced if need be. Injuries happen so they’ll be in the lineup at some point
I don’t think they will have enough trust in those 2 just yet |

I think Goodrow as the 4th line center is about as definite as anything else on this team

he's a big part of penalty killing unit, takes a lot of faceoffs, there's just no way he's getting taken from the lineup
in fact, if he got hurt, I bet Laviolette would moan about him being out of the lineup

Yeah, it was Reaves.
I just want him to focus on those skills instead of aiming to be another CTE/Where is Matt Johnson documentary. |

I can buy them not getting a center now but they really need a RW for the top line.
I could see miller going for a RW and D because that’s almost 4 mill to play with in any trade, and he’s been horrific. Like how they were saying Kakko will go as the salary leaving, I think it’s changed to miller |

It won’t happen every game. The Dallas game he didn’t fight. I doubt him Olivier will go again either. Unless the team needs a spark. He’s doing it on the road which can be a negative, like last night. I think it gave the BJs a boost the entire game that fight
Give them a reason to fight don’t offer it I guess |

it would be very interesting if Isles were to make Brock Nelson available, not to the Rangers obviously
but if they retained some salary, I bet the Isles could make a killing on that move from one of those Western teams |

Islander should rebuild on the fly. What they have isn't working. |

I love what Rempe is doing. He's got the toughness tools and seems to be fearless. There are a few things I'd love to teach him to protect himself better and use his height to his advantage more. |

I have seen enough! Rempe for captain!
In all seriousness how much do we trust Edstrom and Rempe on the ice on the road when the home team has last change after a long shift where they ice the puck? Just a scary thought for me. Also Miller was brutal last night. No self awareness of what’s happening in front of him. He must be better in all areas of his game |

I mean like Jim said, once a trade or trades are made people will be scratched. Gotta think Rempe and Edstrom are 1 and 2 on that list. No knock them. They are fun, and for such big people they don't seem to keeping up with the pace of play. Just they are the easiest sub in and out of the line up.
Edit: That has been Miller all year. And now Trouba is playing the same way. Like please for the of christ try something like:
79-23
55-8
56-4
Or
56-23
55-8
79-4 |

As the deadline approaches, I think we all may need to consider that Miller is our 7th defenseman. He is young and still has a high ceiling, so I'm not looking to trade him unless we get a young d-man back.
But we have to admit the obvious: he has been terrible for most of this season. The regression is real. What is most concerning for me is the lack of hustle and effort. Time for him to sit, perhaps this will light a fire under his ass and get him going again. In the meantime though, we have a real need for a defenseman at the deadline.... |

I think that sitting miller is probably the worst thing to do with him. We want to win now. He’s either in our lineup or part of a trade for his replacement. He has been great at times and bad at others this season. Sitting him tanks his value, his confidence, and doesn’t make us bettter |

((Please forget the original Buch trade was made lol))
Buch for Key and a first.
We still have money for Hanafin or someone else. I think it’s a trade like that we have to make if it came across Drurys desk. Scandella has one year left so maybe he could be included as a rental
Jones needs an opportunity too in this scenario |

Don’t disagree with getting rid of Miller, but I’m sure if we see how terrible he’s been…. So has every other team. That will hurt his value significantly and I don’t think we will get what we are thinking we would get back. |
