To save Donnie's job? - Lunaion
Even if the Sabres did go 16-5–1 and snuck into the playoffs in some way shape or form.
I’d still imagine a proactive organization would see they still need an upgrade behind the bench.
But then again, it would be par for the course for Buffalo sports |

To save Donnie's job? - Lunaion No, they will miss the playoffs again and hopefully Poogoola will have the backbone to get rid of Donnie Boy.

Lesson so far is that retaining on a trade could net them more than anyone they are willing to trade.

Okposo is the worst player in the league and that line with Krebs on it was just getting going - lulags

0-for-2 so far in weaponizing their very large cap space.
I imagine Pegula hangs up pretty quickly when Adams asks, mother may I please buy a 2026 3rd or 4th round pick, as soon as Pegula asks how much it will cost, and Adams replies with roughly a quarter million. |

Is it?
EJ is making half a million more against the cap then Lyubushkin, and has arguably been worse.
Plus the Sabres need to find a 3rd team in order to apparently make that trade work, based on the past 2 defenseman that were recently traded. |

Feels like there's going to be 20 more opportunities. Deadline is so late that even good teams can use their LTIR to facilitate.
KA spent his money on Robinson.

Also, the bold is no accident in terms of the timing of the trade deadline. |

Keep hearing that it's late. Maybe there's nothing to see there.
"The National Hockey League's trade deadline is calculated as the 40th day before the final day of the regular season, ensuring that it typically falls during the last week of February or the first week of March"

Saw someone posted lamenting about the Sabres not being able to sign Mason Marchment as a free agent when he was available.
His numbers this season look good, but last season? Yuck.

The point: Don't be a prisoner of the moment when it comes to assessing the quality of a player. |
