You watch this team every game, they weren’t good tonight. They happened to win off a really bad goaltending performance on the other side. Team has been pretty bad lately overall. The teams below them have just been pathetic, that’s really it. I still think they will slip at the end here. Sad thing is if one of these former bozo GMs actually decided to rebuild, maybe we are a team on the upswing when the metro is really weak
- ClaudeFather
The Metro is well on it's way to being weak. The Caps, Pens and Isles all have aging stars and bad farm systems, and Columbus always sucks.

I disagree. They're missing their best player, a top 4 defenseman. Couturier is banged up and diminished. They played a solid 1st period, especially defensively and scored the games first goal. TB had the better of play in the 2nd but only one goal. The Flyers dominated the 3rd period and didn't give TB spit until they pulled the goalie. Played strong defensively and took the game over. Yes, Vasilevsky wasn't great but the Flyers deserve a ton of credit in this game.

Seriously doubt that. His goalie was huge in winning Cooper two cups. Cooper frequently does that in games when behind in the 3rd. He was trying to get back in the game,
- MJL
With NINE minutes to go? Vasy didn't have a good game. I'm sure he wouldn't admit to it cause you don't show up your goalie publicly, but I wonder if it was a subtle hint that he just wasn't good enough on this particular evening. Cooper is certainly an outside the box type of thinker.

They were inches away from a kucherov goal and another one setup right in front by him. Save it. That wasn’t a good hockey game. It was sloppy and Vasy was horrible

I missed the 1rst….but wasn’t impressed at all with their 2nd period. They just stuck with it and buried a couple in the 3rd. Part of why I think they might actually make it is because the teams below them aren’t impressive what so ever. Don’t get me wrong….they need to sell and accumulate assets. A team that lacks “elite talent” can only go so far regardless of buy in and structure.

Hard to say the Flyers had a bad game when the team limited the league’s leading scorer to one assist, that took their coach pulling the goalie with 10 minutes left. It felt like Stamkos and Kucherov never left the ice.

Yes, Cooper is know for doing that when behind. Even Jim Jackson mentioned that. The idea that he was trying to show up Vasilevsky, a future hall of famer is ridiculous.

Flyers played a solid game. They dominated the 3rd period at 5 on 5 when the game was on the line and took the game over. Your read that the Flyers didn't play well in the game is incorrect

No wonder Hartnell used to fall down all the time. His hair was tipping him over.

It literally looks like he has a mop stuck onto the top of his head? Does he have any idea how silly it looks?

He has been our most consistent player. Very rarely so I mention his name in a bad way.

I didn't know anything about him but he is a damn solid defenseman. If he gets traded I hope that he comes back to Philly. Same for seeler.
They've both earned my respect. Chuck feltcher's lost cause Dman signing has really made a name for himself here.
It's a great story and I'm a fan of his now. Dude is a gamer and will sacrifice his body for the team without thinking.
If this guy doesn't bleed orange and black then I don't know who does

- Bob Habib

I like both D. They both have exceeded my expectations and then some. But this is how teams grow. You move guys too teams that see themselves as legit contenders and hopefully get something in return that turns into a piece for tomorrow….that’s why Winning is important….but more important that DB uses their success and solid play to better the return.

If scouts are there tonight…tell me they wouldn’t be impressed with Walker…played another great game.
- landros 2

14 teams were watching that game last night, good for the Flyers. Walker's camp looking for $5M, Seeler's camp looking for $3M it was reported last night. It was also reported the Flyers are not going to go there for either player. So it appears the Flyers will move them both at the deadline. I could see the Flyers getting a veteran backup also, since it was reported last night the Flyers would also like to get into the playoffs to further develop their younger players.

Can't wait until Fantilli's ECL is up because he will want out of Columbus, just in time for Michkov to come over and the Flyers to nab him.

LOL, he'll be an RFA and he'll have zero leverage. He's not going anywhere at that point unless Columbus wants to move him. The odds of that are nil.

If Seeler and Walker are gone their chance to make the playoffs will most likely be gone too.

It would be great if the flyers can sell off some assets for solid returns and still sneak into the playoffs to give us a couple extra weeks of hockey.

I love it that you know this for sure. Tell me, what player wants to play in Columbus? Would Fantilli be the first player wanting out of there? But you know for sure the odds are zero? The players always have leverage, as you should have learned from the Quitter situation. But you know for sure. For me, I hope Fantilli wants out because he is a Flyer IMO.

The perfect result for this season. Dallas has their 1st and 2nd round picks this year, and their 1st next year. Dallas is supposedly the team interested in acquiring both. If Dallas trade their 2nd this year and their 1st next year that is a good return.

WAs on the Laffs blog last night (saw our buddy Alf on there) and their blogger said that Walker isn't a good fit for them cause he's a middling defenseman with average size. Says that the Laffs could give a 3rd or 4th rounder for him. No, no no!! You need to get at minimum a second rounder for both Seeler and Walker or I just keep them.
