There are easy to find stories about Couturier being banged up from every month of this season, and somehow sub-human can’t find any of them. |

I'll be in attendance Friday night. BC vs. UNH. I'm excited to see Cutter play. It would have been better if he was still Flyers property, but alas. - cdearth23
Put on your Flyers jersey and taunt him as he is leaving the ice. |

i don't regret the drysdale trade it's more of a reflection of gauthier's maturity - 2Real
If he’s scoring 30-40 goals in the NHL I couldn’t care less if he was sleeping in a crib.
Drysdale’s ceiling is a fringe second pair guy, that doesn’t take in account it appears he’s made of paper machet. |

That's 8 out of 14 that are playing regularly in the NHL, 7 of which are contributors on this current Flyers team. Looking at the leaguewide stats, they are significantly better than the average (37% play 100 or more NHL games) with 1st round picks. I will admit, though, that the misses on NoPa and JOB were very costly. That said, objectively speaking this is pretty good. And I am definitely not a Hextall apologist. Just calling it as I see it. |

The Flyers did want to sign him and were prepared to sign him when they met in May of 2023. - jd250
He wanted to sign in March. Flyers said no. Eventually they ended up trading his rights for a sick note and a second round pick. |

ghost is a consistent - player throughout his career
Drysale is only 21 with injuries hitting him
I'd just shut him down for the rest of the year and let him get 100% for next season and get more acclimated to our system. - 2Real
Consistent?
That was my laugh for the day, thanks! |

Incorrect. He's missed four games this season and there have been regular media reports about him being "banged up" that haven't been reported for most other players on the team. |

Yeah, he stayed on the perimeter (where his release wasn't good enough to score from distance) and he didn't get in front of the net enough to take advantage of his good hands.
But he was also just slow footed and behind the play a lot on both sides of the puck.
But pre-draft everybody just saw him as a complete, can't miss player. The same stuff we're hearing about Cutter now. Cutter's warts will be painfully obvious once he breaks into the league... he's got a few big ones. - Tomahawk
Quitter will have Carlsson feeding him pucks, so with his shot he will score his share of goals. I think he has a good chance to be a solid NHL winger that will help the team on the PP, but also be good 5v5. But he didn't want to play for the Flyers so they got the best return they could for him.
I see a lot of people giving up on Drysdale already, the kid is only 21 years old, was rushed to the NHL, paid the price with injuries that cost him tons of games. He has a chance to be a really good player in this league, if he learns how to keep his up, especially in the neutral zone. |

With all that said, Drysdale's four seasons have produced 1.11 points/60 is in the 65th percentile of regular blue liners (min. 2000 minutes), and that's a high-end second-pair blue liner.
21 year old high end second pair blue liner? I'll take it |

What else does his maintenance days tell you?... Coming off two back surgeries, and almost two years missed, plus much TOI earlier this season IMO is a good indication that he is not 100%... in other words, banged up. Besides that, in all seasons many players play banged up in every team; it's a well known fact.
What facts do you have that could suggest otherwise... considering his great and sudden drop-off in play? - ForeverFlyer16
exactly. he has probably hit a wall. Which any normal person would expect to happen at some point as his play dips. had a lot of adrenaline which only gets you is far.
just cracks me up the banged up angle. |

Must have touched a nerve if you've fallen back on hero worship for a 77 year old rapist who can't leave the house without being caked in orange/brown makeup.
Sanheim and Frost are both having strong seasons. The Flyers were lucky the dopes in charge didn't get rid of them this summer, or they'd be in the bottom 10 again. |

I seriously doubt Couturier is the 4th line. As much as I doubt Poehling Cates and Hathaway are the "first" line. |

That was my bad...I read it as "a consistent player". Only thing consistent was his rookie year, his 65 point year wasn't even consistent.

So what? The Flyers were ready to sign him in May. Both months start with the letter 'M', so what he heck was his problem? Torts has said it a bunch of times lately about the "modern athlete" being too entitled and taking bad advice from the people around them who just want to cash in. He also stated this is the not the type of player that fits the standard he and the triumphant are trying to build. I think he is indirectly referring to Quitter. And I say, good for the Flyers! Don't let any player dictate terms, they should be thanking their lucky stars for even a chance to earn a spot on an NHL team. |
