Like I said previously, I think the timing of when Fletcher was fired played into things and Quitter should have been more patient. He is still unsigned right now, so what did leaving the Flyers accomplish? Quitter could have signed his ELC with the Flyers last May and been playing for them right now. So what did the Flyers really do to him? He did it to himself. He got bad advice from greedy people around him.

It accomplished not having to play for the Flyers and waiting another 2 years to sign with an NHL team. The Ducks last game is 4/18. The Frozen Four championship is 4/13. Assuming he stays healthy, he is likely going to burn a year off his ELC this year.
