Sheldon Keefe has been fined $25,000 by the NHL for “unprofessional conduct directed at the officials that resulted in a game misconduct.”

There should be a quiet backdoor conversation to appeal these types of fines. What did he do that's different than what any other coach does - he was upset when a bad call was made, like every other coach would be? When the ref decided to eject him, he was discussing the incident calmly and without swearing.
It's a bloody farce that they can literally rob a person of $25k for doing nothing.

I was against it until I saw that when he paired with Krug, he was excellent. For some reason they moved him away from Krug and put him with guys like Scandella, Mikkola and so on . . .maybe being with Rielly would be the gear he needs. - Monkeypunk
Three years ago he was 'the dream'. Haven't watched very closely over the years though. The last two games against the Blues I think they had him paired with Leddy in the "defensive stopper pair" role. His number probably reflect a guy that plays tough competition and lots of dzone starts on a relatively poopty team. |

Sounds about right. With little to no offensive upside because it's not like Leddy, Scandella or Mikkola were providing it.

Mike Johnson was between the benches and said he listened to Keefe the whole time and said it was really tame. MLSE should send the $$ in bags of pennies ...rubbed in poop. |

That’s nuts that Keefe gets fined $25k. That’s probably usd so like $100k Canuck! What about the refs?? Why do they answer to nobody!? Oh sure they have a guy in charge of officials who may talk to them but come on……players and coaches have jobs and huge dollars riding on the games and when officials are junk, you’re not allowed to get upset or, heaven forbid, that you even question any of the officiating after the game!! (I didnt like call x, y or z, big deal) I realize that officials are human and make mistakes and I’m good with that, prefer it to endless stoppages to review a play, but for a coach or organization to have zero response without being fined!!?? It’s crap. |

a friend of mine once counted out the pennies for a parking ticket. The lady at the window at the courthouse didn't have any time for that |

retention would make it expensive...but would be good for a playoff run and then allows Leafs to spend on any D they want in FA.
1st, 3rd and Steeves
Maybe make the 3rd conditional if its too much - Santo_44
or 2 x 5th round pick for each retention
instead of the 3rd |

If you’ve experienced lingering colds, flus, covids. It’s possible you have a reduction of your intestinal bifidobacteria due to the vaccines.
The MRNA was hidden in lipid nano particles because the immune system would destroy it otherwise. If you believe hot wiring, or bypassing the immune system and its defenses is a smart idea, well.

Wow Santo, sick burn.
I mean the way you took the story I told about how I'm a lousy evaluator of junior talent, and then you turned it around to frame me as a lousy evaluator of junior talent.
This one is going to hurt for days. - Atomic Wedgie

The run up to the trade deadline is usually interesting for my Lightning. This year, kinda feeling meh about it. I'm more curious to see what the Leafs are going to add. The Leafs have more assets to deal, so their chances are better. Briesbois might have all the want and desire to make a deal, but he doesn't have much to offer without giving up a roster player. Nobody wants our middling (at best) prospects or late round picks.
Besides, Vasi is obviously not 100% yet after the surgery. This is his worst season statistically and he just hasn't looked himself. He's lost his elite edge. It remains to be seen if he regains it this season before it's too late. I'm not confident with him rolling into the playoffs based on what I have seen so far.
Woll is a big wildcard and I am excited to see him snatch the starter job from Sammy and run with it. Kid could go full Binnington for a deep run.....or not, but let's hope.
Pure Blood Bert has emerged from his Bustuzzi cocoon.
Matthews is about to go Super Saiyan again, starting tonight.
Reaver is born again HARD.
We may be witnessing the forging of a Blue and White STEAMROLLER that will crush and flatten all opposition on the way to the Cup.

I'm just finding it hilarious because I think he's the best Canadian songwriter of all time, and outside of Canada the three things he's know best for are:
- U2 mentioning his lyrics in one of their own songs
- The Bare Naked Ladies covering one of his songs
- the theme he wrote to a cartoon is now being compared to a Beyonce song.
Like FFS, can we not give this guy his due? - Atomic Wedgie
I think there's a lot more similarity between the verse of Take On Me and the chorus of Fraggle Rock.

My wife had a classmate who made it to the final round of interviews, but didn't get the job as head of investor relations for Bre-X.
He had the FOAD letter framed in his house. |
