Anyone think that now would be the best time to trade Samsonov. We have 3 other goalies in Woll Jones and Hildeby that are equal/better and he’s a free agent next year.

Maybe someone like NJ would still think it’s an upgrade from what they have.

Would clear up a lot of space for the leafs to make a significant trade… even if it’s a low end pick.

Considering his Sv% is 67th out of 69 goalies who have played at least 10 games this year in the NHL I doubt they would find any takers.

Tanev for 1.25m is a cheap get.
The picks & prospect aren’t all that great. Dallas gets much more depth on an already good team.

Really? Never thought of him being injury prone. How many games missed in career due to injury (not illness)?

Either way - he has scored a heck of a lot and out up huge career numbers for a guy who misses a lot of games to all these injuries.
