Faaak if true I have to hope Minny makes the playoffs I guess.
If the Leafs can't win the cup I'd like to see Flower win another. - Cush29
I am on the record as saying I want no part of Fleury. He was good in 2020-21. he hasn't been since. He's 39 and in obvious decline.
I might also hold a grudge because of the World Juniors. That's fine, right?

Truth and just more validation as to why Bones and Ralphie need to be the defacto play by play guys for the Leafs!
Just think about hearing Joe Bowen losing his poop in a Stanley Cup final game when the Leafs win the cup & try and tell me that didn't bring an instant smile to your face!
- Cush29
when the Leafs beat Florida or was it Ottawa way back in the early 2000, he did lose his composure and almost started cried on air when they won the playoff game when they were not expect to. |

I like Carlo Coliacovo's take saying the D Tre gets are likely ones we aren't talking about as top targets. He talks to everyone it is hard to gauge for insiders.

Unless someone offers up a player Tre cant refuse, I feel its simply going to be a depth D and depth center. Someone who cost a 4th or lower pick and mid level prospect.
Or maybe a cap in cap out swap.
Not many picks available in the top 3 rounds over the next 3 years for the leafs. I'm sure Tre wants to do some drafting.
But we'll see |

Fair point bit disagree for sure.
No way Tre goes in the playoffs with this D, especially after Klingbergs injury. He hasn't touched it besides a surprise Benoit emergence.
No way he goes a calendar year without adding someone at least at Tanevs level.
If he doesn't he has failed the team in his first season. |

He still is.
What a wonderful time for the NHL that was - when teams were going bankrupt left and right. |

Jensen and Dowd for something that doesn't involve a 1st or top prospect might be a'ight. I like Dowd as a C/RW to play with Kampf and Holmberg. He can PK, defend and chuck the knuckles. |

Boston, Florida, and TBay all in similar (or worse) draft/prospect situations as the Leafs the next few years.
Somebody is going to pull the trigger ...they always do. |

I'd like Jensen, I wonder what Tre thinks of him.
I also like Gudbranson 50% retained...I know some may disagree but I think there is a fit. Also still allows them to go get a Matt Roy in free agency. |

Leafs have a 1st.
If the Tanev deal has told us anything it is that pick is valuable. Many top teams don't even have that 2024 1st. |

Today the temp is actually seasonal at -5, yet it feels abnormal compare to the actual abnormally warm temps weve been having in the halton region.
Supposed to be back up to plus 10 over the weekend and plus 17 on Tuesday. Wtf!!
No snowboarding in my future π
I guess its early softball training?

He'll add a depth D thats more in tune with his style.
I think he really puts his mark on over the summer.
We'll see. |

He is having a good year on the fancy charts too...usually shows up pretty horrible.
Leafs have plenty of D that show off great on those like Lilly and Brodie. Could use a guy that can clear the net in playoffs on that right side.
I watched a few CBJ games in the past few weeks...Very physical dude, not so much huge hits like Benoit but just sheer power pushing around guys.
I also do not know much about him but Kuraly looks good too...kills penalties and hits a lot. Like Kampf but more scoring and more physical. |

That was on an entirely different team and under these circumstances he didn't have multiple seasons to build his blue line the way he likes it.
Can not see him wasting a season because its "not his style" normally. |

I think we'll get one more snow storm just when we are all gearing up for spring.
But golfing in April could happen on some courses if this keeps up |
