Robbed us of Novak. - blacksheep1
I think we’ll be getting two players from the same team, maaaybe 3 (LHD).
Which team is it is the question. I’m going Patches and Dowd or Vatrano and Henrique. But this changes on an hourly basis lol |

I know you don’t like him. But he is more of a playmaker which could be good for Kakko and Cuylle
Him by himself isnt going to cost much at all either so maybe it makes sense to leave Eberle out of it. |

Are both on expiring contracts?
I know Cap is always an issue, but would like to have at least another yr remaing on some, or at least one of the players that NYR gets at deadline....Especially if Jones, and 1st round pick are going back in these trades. Got no problem working on bottom 6, and 6/7 dmen in offseason, but would be nice to have top six set for next season.
Also, its been mentioned heere already, but trading Gustavson for a bigger, badder dman would be good

Yes, but the Rangers don't have enough room to trade both even at 50%. |

Which is why so badly wanted Novak, that 800k contract would be absolute perfection. On top of his solid 2 way play.

yes we do you're not factoring in sending Rempe and Edstrom down and carrying only Jones and Belzile (or whoever) |

So right now they don't, those moves have to happen first. |

Which is why Goodrow NEEDS to be included...yes? His $$ off the books allows for that, but that will mean 1st rounder is included as well

If they want to make the trade they can... what does it matter what order they happen in? That's how any of this works... |

Im not a Capologist, but how does $$ work for any top 9 C, and top 6 RW that have been rumored work w/out him included?

What he said. I'd like it. But if they strictly want to add and not lose depth, they need help. Goodrow, while I'd kill for it isn't going anywhere. Makes me sick. |

We have over $4m in cap space with Chytil on LTIR. All we need is salary retention from the other party |

I can see it now.... we trade Goodrow. Tampa then swoops in and trades for Goodrow from who we traded him to. We face Tampa in the first round and Goodrow becomes an unstoppable force against us. |

Gotcha. That works for a Henriqe/Vatrano trade? Would rather have Goodrow as 4c anyways. Maybe move/buy him out in off season

I think it’s a good idea to carry 23 players post TDL w/Rempe and Edstrom as the scratches. But have them enter the lineup almost alternating scratches with guys like the Goodrows, Jbrods, Veseys, etc..just so everyone has a little rest before the playoffs begin. It would allow them to try different things on the 4th line and combinations that work best.
Granted the additions have to allow them to do that, but I think it’s a possibility of it and they don’t send Rempe or Edstrom down |

I don't really get it, but I'm seeing Warren Foegele on a lot of trade boards lately. If the Oilers do want/need to shed his cap, the Rangers should generously do them that favour.
first of all i am not a fan of the canadian spelling of the word "favor. second of all... oOOooo |

i can guarantee you they want rempe and edstrom getting playing time so they can have a real shot next year. i can also guarantee you they will not balk on a trade simply because they only get to carry 22 instead of 23 players. The players on the ice during the games are way more important than an extra forward |

If you have looked at CF ACGM the last 24hrs, this is something he saw on there and decided it was worth posting about. |
