Kane provided the best moment

After that goal i thought they were winning the cup lol

And in games 5-7 he had zero points. (frank) him too, respectfully.

I know I’m just busting chops. Top to bottom they all sucked

All we can hope for is they learned a hard lesson (I think they thought the series was over after game 2) and the new coach will be a difference

He’s looked really good with Cuylle, not one time has looked good with them. Fault whoever you want, but his style doesn’t mesh well with them. It’s forcing it is what it is. He and Cuylle are forecheckers and feed off each other positively

I know nothing tho, but I’ll keep trying

If Kakko was placed on the right side of bread and VinnievT, would he have the same success that Laf has enjoyed? For me the answer is no. Point being, if he strive playing those two, he won’t thrive period.

I agree 100%

He need to play with big strong guys. Cuylle and Edstrom I think would be solid trio. But Ed probably isn’t ready for that just yet. With Chytil it would be really good, that injury really hurts

Yes, probably right, but that’s a 3rd line player, not a top 6 forward.

Ek saying Elias Peterson is on the block? Is that for real?

I’m with ya. That’s fine if he is, but forcing him into the top line is obviously not working. Players need to play with certain type of players to succeed. It’s hockey 101

Carolina offered a trade and Vancouver brought it to EP and his agent and said get to signing or were considering this trade

Yeeesh. I think we’re talking Perrault for sure and maybe Trocheck with firsts because they can’t sign him without trading a big chunk of salary. It’s seems impossible for the rangers to get him

I haven’t made trade for him fwiw

I think that’s where the Necas rumors started, him as a part of the trade

There was speculation simply cause there were some rumors that there was an impasse with a contract extension. There was a lot of thought that they may trade him because hes gonna command around 11m per year, and it could be too rich for the Nucks.

Did I hear or imagine that they started talking extension? Seems foolish to let him go especially with the cap going up. Granted the haul would be tremendous

Kakko was not good in the playoffs last year. Many Rangers weren't.
- blacksheep1

Dammit, you're right. My bad there. Trusting my pothead memory instead of checking the stats first like I normally do!
However, my point is still moot.

Such a garbage offer. I'm not trading EP unless I am getting Svech or Aho back in the deal. Why trade for a declining D-man (already have Quinn that gets the points needed), and a garbage player you offer sheeted to a garbage contract. It;s like the stupid Nylander for Pagaeu rumors.

Kakkos best moments have come on the 3rd line. Whether with fil and laf or now with Cuylle. It’s his spot. It’s fine but just leave him there. Maybe eventually he can rise up the lines but it doesn’t have to be now. It’s not a knock either it’s just reality. Forcing him on the top line isn’t a great idea, for a few reasons…his confidence being one reason

Two years from now, when Kakko is pulling down close to 4 mil and scoring 10-15 goals, you'll be asking, " why didn't we get rid of him".
- OLDSCHOOL#6

Remember when we were all over CK20 and like, when will he be a 30g scorer??

Trading KK is creating a hole to fill a hole. Other than a low level trade, I like this team in a best of 7 in the East.

Hey man I’m hoping for another Mika March too but I’m not overly optimistic. Get him someone who can command the puck and drive possession or put kakko there and focus on the 3rd line
- picklerick

The guy is a (frank)ing first line Center and getting paid like one, HE should be the GUY driving the play. Jeez he is out there with CK20 and Foxy 80 percent of the time, THIS is on HIM, Not his RW.

For arguments sake

Kreider Zib xxx
BLT
Cuylle xxx Kakko

That leaves

4th line options-
JBrod, Vesey, goodrow, Rempe and Edstrom for playing time. Try different combos, game to game matchups (like ok Rempe is in because this “goon” is in their lineup), or Edstrom because we need a bigger guy in there. I think it’s a good idea to not limit the 4th line to these set 3 guys every game and instead maybe you find a trio that may work the best vs a specific team

Granted the playoffs the 4th line is most likely
Goodrow Jbrod Vesey, but the two big men should stick around all season imo. This is great depth which we rarely have had this year. I’d much rather have them practicing here in the pros instead of playing in Hartford. It’s not like they’ll forget how to play hockey if they aren’t playing in games

- Slimtj100

Did you ever consider that maybe one of our 2 Towers gets traded? Maybe they were brought up and playing as a showcase for another team.....
