I like what Conroy is doing tho. Revamping a defense with alot of prospects.
That Lindholm deal was better the the Tanev one but got 2 solid prospects apparently

- Slimtj100

Don’t they have a good goalie prospect that’s almost ready for the big time? Dustin wolf

Him holding on to Markstrom is very dumb. Like If they hold him, they most likely finish in 10th place. What's the point? Should have just worked with the Devils for a trade. Try getting one (or both) of Casey and Holtz.

Yes, and they could just given Vladar starts as they try to work with Wolf. Craig Conroy, not smart.

I think they plan on being good next year tho. Or trying to be anyway. They do have some good forwards. Probably could get more in the summer even for him

I’d think NJ is very apprehensive to trade their first this year and that’s probably what they want from them

Just heard Sam on Sirius and he seems to think they’ll get 3 players- RW C and a depth D

Goodbye Kakko,

that’s not happening and even if it did it doesn’t solve the problem that we’re 1 top9 rw short. It swaps one for another

Well for arguments sake..3rd party on Henrique, with Vatrano…minus Kakkos 2.1 gives them anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 to get another RW lol

Listen, I think Brooks is a dope and an angry old man. But he's more connected than I am to the Rangers. If he's saying Kakko might go, he might go. We gotta take that at face value.

I’d think Vatrano is extended after next year. It’s not a terrible move. It’s risky no doubt

I do tend to agree, I really think that once playoff start he’s going to kick it up 10 notches. if he slacks and sucks in the playoffs, then I would trade him in the off-season

I’ll believe it when I see it (him being traded)

It’s weird how you were ready to trade laf for a bag of pucks but not Kakko

My problem with this is we’ve said this about a dozen times by now. Just wait just wait just wait. The time is now. He shows flashes but nothing consistent, ever.

Laf did nothing to show he was going to be a good player. He looked lost on the ice. With Kakko, even though he wasn’t scoring, he always looked like he could be a top 2-way player with 50ish pts a season. If Kakko could become a 50-60 pt player on a line that can shut down opposing top lines, I’d take that at this point.

I honestly think if they did trade him we wouldn’t be that upset over the years because we have so many wingers to take his place. And his ceiling is just not gonna be great. 50/60 pts and defensive forwards are not something to die for over not having. I’m either way now, I’m fine keeping him or using him for a big trade. His cap hit won’t be anything too crazy where we can wait some more

Trading him for Vatrano and Henrique is a mistake. If you tell me he’s part of a package and a guy like Turcotte is coming back, I can live with it.
