No it wasn't. Neither were Brink's mistake. On the Ovechkin goal, Brink is picked by Tom Wilson and has no chance to get to Ovechkin. Brink was not the main culprit on the Carlsson goal. There were numerous coverage errors on the play as I outlined.

Most of hockey is a bang bang play, you got to know what to look for and what to do on face offs and be hungry for the puck. It looked to me like Brink was sleeping on that play and reacted a second too late
