Most of hockey is a bang bang play, you got to know what to look for and what to do on face offs and be hungry for the puck. It looked to me like Brink was sleeping on that play and reacted a second too late
- jd250

That's nonsense. It was a set play and well executed by Washington. Nothing Brink could do on that.

Great coaching by Tortorella in the game. Bench a skilled forward in Brink and give Deslauriers some shifts. Brink has scored two goals since being called up and they're down 4-2.

I’d be curious to see if he has the most off the draw goals in history, like that goal. I would bet he does.

interesting....probably

There isn't a player in the league in that situation that would've been able to run through Wilson to stop that play. Stop acting like a child bud.
- MJL
so I guess everyone is a child on here but you? Thanks Dad. Or should I say CLIFF.

Game over! The Flyers were carrying the play but couldn’t get pucks through, the Caps doing a nice job blocking shots. I guess the Caps coach is archaic too!

Bad effort, bad defense, bad goaltending.

Devils, Penguins, and Capitals all regulation losses.

Danny, there shouldn’t be any doubts. You’re not that team yet. Stay the course. Please.

Impressive second and third period against this dogpoop Caps team.

Another lost weekend for this sack of poop franchise.

Up 2-0 and outshooting the Caps 13-5, and then it all fell apart. Tomorrow is a must win!

I wouldn’t say carrying the play. Caps pretty much dumped it in and regrouped defensively. Flyers effort lacked tonight.

Is staying the course trading the top prospect in the organization for a paper machet glass chandelier?

A game the Flyers are ill-equipped for. You're right it's not complicated: sell.

Pretty simple assessment tonight. The Flyers played a good first period and thought they could mail it in after that. The Caps are a hard working team that won't quit and the Flyers got their lunch handed to them. Also, they got no stops from their goalie this evening. Time to dig up Gump Worsley.

Can’t make the kid play for them. He wouldn’t even talk to LeClair and Sharp. What are they supposed to do?

Well Torts wanted to give Nick a chance to beat up Max, I mean what’s wrong with that?

Oh btw, did Frost and Farabee play this period? Was counting on them to get the Flyers back into this game. Guess not. What a shock, and ok player with ok skill, and a very good 10 foot passer.

Ersson has had some games to forget lately. Losing Hart was a humongous loss.

Quitter didn’t want to play here, what would you do if you were the GM? Danny got the best back he could given the situation.

This is the $hit that pisses me off about Torts. You make your point and then send the players back out there. They have a game tomorrow night and it's just effing stupid to run your other forwards into the ground. I like Torts, but this is just stupid managing of a team.

What cracks me up is that you actually paid money to watch this team play last week. I mean, you seem to REALLY hate this team, so I do find that comical. Congrats!

2 positives from the game:
!) NAK didn't score
2) MJL will be happy as a pig in slop since we lost and Torts was a jerkoff
