What cracks me up is that you actually paid money to watch this team play last week. I mean, you seem to REALLY hate this team, so I do find that comical. Congrats! - Phillywhiteout
I didn’t pay a plug nickel. I got comped center ice seats. |

This is how you attempt to show that you know hockey better than someone else? Just keep on posting jd.

It's ironic how much you post during a bad game as opposed to a good game. The Flyers are lucky to have you as their #1 fan!

You're a better man than me cause I've been offered free tickets, and I still won't go cause I ain't paying those ridiculous prices for food and drink. I could buy an entire case of beer for the price of 3 beers there. WTF! |

This is the $hit that pisses me off about Torts. You make your point and then send the players back out there. They have a game tomorrow night and it's just effing stupid to run your other forwards into the ground. I like Torts, but this is just stupid managing of a team. - Phillywhiteout
They kept mentioning that it might have been to long a shift where both him an Lyksell didn’t come to bench when they had a chance. That’s why it’s probably better not to guess why a guy gets dressed down down by a coach unless you know the full reason. |

You can always eat and drink before and after, poor excuse to not take advantage of free tickets. |

It's the NHL and these guys are supposed to be big boys. I just have a problem with him not playing them at all in the third period when you have another game tomorrow night. |

We usually do eat before the games, but the price of beers are outlandish and we like to drink during the games. And forget about it if you actually want some top shelf liquor. Just let em take your right arm. |

I’m so focused on the game, almost as much as if I’m actually playing in it, that I might drink one beer the entire game. I know I’m really too intense when I watch something I’m invested in. |

Rum runners flasks. You can put them in a jacket pocket and just buy a $12 mixer drink of choice. |

I agree and this is my problem with Torts. He's so set in his ways that even though he thinks it will help the team, his methods actually hurt the team long term

Playoffs are whole different game. Folks wanna see them make the playoffs. Not that complicated. - Phillywhiteout
oh yea i'd love to see the flyers make the playoffs to get poop stomped, get a worse draft pick, and acquire nothing to make the team better in the future |

What’s hurting the team is they don’t have any elite talent to swing momentum when they need it. When it swung to Washington it was all over. Torts has no effect on that. |

I was listening to NHL Network in the car this afternoon and they mentioned that the Caps are a very hard working team. The Flyers took their foot off the gas after the first period and they got their asses handed to them by a hard working team. They were never able to regain the momentum once they lost it and that's where I agree that they need a game changer. They also really got no stops from their goalie either.

I agree on that but this teams strength all season has been their team structure. Especially defensively. They lost that tonight. What Tortorella has an effect on is poor coaching decisions and singling out and benching a player like Brink, who has scored 2 goals since being called up and giving Deslauriers 3 shifts in the 3rd period when behind.
