I'm not asking for perfect, nobody is, but if you want to go for it with 1 scoring line, and 1 center playing well, Imo you are just wasting assets and players. Most of the team is young enough to wait another year, and I also believe this isnt the new norm for Zib.

If it is the new norm seeya in 2030 lol

I just don’t think you’ll find a single GM who wouldn’t push all their chips in (without trading Perreault or Othmann) with this roster and the season it’s having

Oh, I agree if we are looking at it from a management decision. 100% they are going for it. I'm just giving my useless opinion

You're advocating that the team with the most points in the league. In 1st place in the tough metro division, throw in the towel because Zib has AWOL? Not gonna happen

Love has to have the balls to move Zib to the 3rd line, if another center of worth comes in. It will be a tough sell but it has to be done

I didn't say throw in the towel. If they are as good as everyone thinks, leave it alone.

And yes I know they are going for it, this is just my opinion. lol

Can't leave it alone. The 94' cup team didn't leave it alone.

a few familiar faces may have to go. It's a business.

Cant trade any familiar faces due to the NTC's and they arent trading KK for rentals. Trading KK will just create another hole. It will be picks and prospects.

True. No such thing as a NMC in 94’

Agree, I wouldn’t deal Kakko for a rental, but I have very little hope of him becoming anything more than what he is now.

When Chytil went down, we all knew that despite our success, we were going to need to make a trade.

Literally, throughout the year, one way or another, everyone got what they wanted.
Bonino, waived and terminated.
Pitlick, waived.
Wheeler, LTIR

Yet we still won games with kids.

No team, regardless of how successful it may be, just sits on its laurel's come the deadline and says, meh, were good. No, you're good, be better, get better, because other teams sure as hell are going to try.

Even third liners have an important role come the playoffs. Some would say the 3rd line is arguably the most important line in the playoffs.

Love the quick signing if he keeps playing the way he has been. Still leaves me concerned for the future though that we don't have any kids that can take the role

Plenty of time to draft a goalie in the 5th or 6th round, we seem to have a knack for it.

Any thoughts on potential of getting Okposo? Saw somewhere could be a potential. Wouldn’t think he would cost much.
