Yeah I don't really want Rempe fighting reaves but we know it'll happen. My hope is that the kid holds his own and nothing bad happens as we know what reaves can do. Question is though, do they play him? Theyve got Detroit and Tampa breathing down their necks and I honestly think they need the win more. Idk if anyone has the stats but I feel like they were doing better while reaves was out

Reaves sucked at the start of the season....a guaranteed minus every game....and was unplayable. He has been a different player since returning from injury and this 4th line combination has been very effective. He is a lock to play, especially with Rempe in the lineup. I highly doubt he starts anything, but should Rempe want to dance on Hockey Night in Canada, I expect he will oblige him.

If I had to say one thing maybe Lavy has said to Rempe is not do the staged thing. Let it come during the game if it happens, game flow thing. Let it happen naturally. He’s good thats what is crazy about it, he has skills to be effective. Hes directly led to two goals simply by being near the crease, and he can surprisingly skate well for a big man

This comment had less to do with vatrano and more to do with how expected goals and actual goals work/relate to each other and what the implications of having more actual goals than expected are.

Like the observation that a player doesn’t have a higher expected goals because he scores on so many of his shots proves the point that the results are abnormal lol. Its the opposite point

Ideally a players xG and G are fairly even. That means they’re scoring how they should be. If they have a higher xG than G (laf for example) that means the goals should be coming, and vice versa. Its not a perfect science but it is statistics

I would just advise that not every single player should be judged by charts/data etc. I’ve learned to accept them to a certain extent, but you guys man, you get sooooo overboard with them. It’s like cocaine to you. Literally nothing else matters

Just get someone I can’t wait to see who it is that they get
