I think Rat is right, it'd be tough to pay him more than Barkov's 10 and the Florida discount is a thing. 9M seemed about right. Then again, he can certainly cash in for more than that elsewhere too...so will depend how much he likes South Florida.

Pride doesn't make you skate faster unfortunately. Sam also gets a good bump up being with Barkov, if that goes away and the production falls back, a big contract could be an issue there.
