Thats how i feel... would i be crazy to think they could trade Byrum sometime going forward - hubie
Depends if he does better playing the right side here. If he's with Dahlin or Power, he could be a staple long term...if he's on the 3rd pairing, he's an unjustifiable expenditure.

Byram going from a Stanley Cup winning culture to a record loser culture.
Wonder how he is gonna take that. |

No, he's a FA, believe Douglas was the one with a year left. - Buff36
Someone brought it up before, but I wonder if they plan on bringing in another corner and moving Benford to safety. |

More clearing cap space for the #Bills: They are releasing DB Siran Neal, source said, who was due nearly $3M in base salary this season.

Will be interesting to see their plan moving forward. No idea what happens with Tre White, he is the wildcard. |

the cherry on top is we get to hear sbroads and boss complain about krebs for 20 more games as he should get third line minutes for the rest of the year
as long as jost does not get a call up - homiedclown
Not sure why you love Krebs
He’s supposedly an offensive talent with just 3 goals
We’re gonna see |

His talent is assisting, not scoring. Put him with decent wingers and he'll go back to being a .5ppg player IMO. |

Lets not act like the kid cant pass a freakin puck. We all know his shot is weak.
Hopefully he can put it all tg over the next month. If not there's kids coming up that would like a spot.

Interesting, just got a message from my Avs buddy:
"I think you guys got a quality player and he's got a great attitude, hard worker and the defensive game is coming around. He has looked a LOT better recently."
Homie may be right. Hopefully more of a hockey trade here. |

Makes sense with young d-men.
I have no problem with the player (other than the handness) its just that brain must be protected.

What a horrible trade.
Adams traded his biggest trade chip (and leading scorer) for an oft injured 22 year old still developing LEFT handed d-men. Not to mention the type of D-man he is, is NOT what this team needs.
How many of the same type of forwards and d-men can one team have?
Once Erik Johnson is traded off the blue line the Sabres blue line average age is 23.7 years old...you know the position that often takes the longest to develop. - Stripes77
TRADED 44 POINTS! When did CM become the second coming?
Earlier a poster wrote we got softer. How did that happen? CM is not a grit player. |

would love to see him get that extended look in the top 9 and since he did get games in the top 9 recently, he looks better

Buffalo now has the best young defense core in the league in my view.
However the team is 23rd in goals for and just traded their leading scorer.
Would not be surprised at all if there is another move coming. - Rang

I think Mitts will explode in Colorado.
Not happy that we traded him. I have never preferred Cozens and I think we committed to the wrong player.
I was tooting his horn entering 2023, he’s been our best player for the better part of a year and we traded him essentially for Jokiharju 2.0 |

TRADE:
To New York #NYR
Alex Wennberg (50% retained)
To Seattle #SeaKraken
2024 2nd round pick (NYR)
2025 conditional 4th round pick (DAL)*
*The condition follows a previous trade. If Nils Lundkvist earns 55 cumulative points over the 2022-23 and 2023-24 regular seasons, the pick upgrades to Dallas' 2025 3rd round pick.

It wasn't that long ago that Mitts was given the Reinhart and Risto treatment - re: being run out of town. For them to get a young talent like Byram is a "W" in my books.
Apparently they weren't going to pay Mitts $7 million and it opens up a slot for Krebs or one of their #1 draft picks (Rosen/Kulich/Savoie) to step in next year. Or they can go trade some of these prospects to get us a killer 3rd line centre that wins draws, good defensively, with size etc. They obviously still have a lot of work to do on the roster. But I like it because it's a hockey trade that will likely benefit both teams.
I like Mitts and I hope it's Colorado vs Florida in the finals. It would be cool to see Mitts/Reinhart/Montour/Erod lift the cup. No hate towards any of them.
Also, I hope they bring Lindy back in some role. Even though i like this trade on the surface, i still want both Meathead and Adams gone. They don't deserve another year to eff this up. |
