89 says KA’s “players that want to be here” schtick actually has a negative effect on the team image, so what does he do? He trades for the friend of a player he publicly called out, and an article is promptly published about what basically amounts to player poaching by way of schmoozing and it’s pretty weird all around.

Benson can't play in the AHL next year. Think you can make him 100%.

He seems to have held up pretty well, after some early season injuries. At a minimum, he should be a decent 3rd liner again next year.

Krebs, Benson, Kulich would be a fun kids line.

Krebs, Benson, Greenway would be a solid two-way line.

Even if you fix the fact he’s making $2-3M then he should be, won’t help the fact that the guy is a completely liability on the ice now and he gets to pollute the ice for another 3 years.

If Donny isn't fired soon, I'm getting tickets for seats behind the bench so I can literally berate him until they toss me. I wonder sometimes if we'd be better off without coaches on the bench and just let the team decide everything. Have to imagine nothing is better than Granato.

Flagged on accident, my bad.

I am hoping Adams is kicked in the face by a large bovine creature soon so Terry has no choice but to replace him. Nothing likely changes while he's at the helm. We may crack into the playoffs but actually building a contender is beyond his puny brain's capabilities.

My point exactly. Even if we fill the holes with decent forecheckers, are we any better?
If we fill the question marks with Savoie, Kulich, etc, we are likely worse. Benson being stuck on the team and occupying a full time spot makes this tricky too.
Smart move is to wait on all the young guys and do this maybe

The stated issue in the other post was cost.
Yes, term was too long as well. That was discussed as well.

What doesn't get discussed in the state of the Sabres at that time. Team sucked bad, really bad... Fan opinion of team was similar if not worse than it is currently.
Imagine if Botts let him walk for nothing at that time.

Skinner had him bent over the pommel horse... Result wasn't his fault though. It remains Botts for being a horrible negotiate.
