This is an interesting comment…. If you add the Mark Napier over Mike Bossy, you get with those 2 why Habs went from a Dynasty to an average team for following 30 years…

I think they've done a good job drafting the past few years. Even Timmin's last few drafts are looking pretty good nowadays (Caufield, Guhle, Mailloux).
I was on the "draft Michkov" train but I'm willing to give Reinbacher some time before judging the pick. He was my 2nd choice after Michkov so it's not the end of the world for me.
A few months ago, so many people would have traded Slaf for Cooley in a heartbeat.... don't hear much of these clowns today.

For me it was picking Price over Kopitar…
Price was great and made the team looking better than it was…
Picking a goalie with a top 10 pick is very often a bad decision…
You can find good goalies in later rounds but maybe it is more of a philosophical debate than anything…

I take recruiters words on past drafts with a grain of salt.
Timmins said many things over the years, sometimes even contradicting himself.
Bottom line is the bolded really. So I'm happy we got such a great player.
