Frost has a higher shooting percentage than the $49,600,000 man Owen Tippett over the last two seasons. And one of them is supposed to be a sniper.

He hasn't cost the team. Frost is one of the players that is carrying the team offensively on a team that struggles to score.
- MJL

0 goals, 4 assists and a -2 in the 5 games is what you define as carrying the team offensively?

Instead of beating the Frost drum, the part that sticks out is if he is arguably one pf the top 3 offensive players your team has bigger problems.

A team built like that will go nowhere.

If York and Walker are more skilled offensively, why aren't they putting up more points than Sanheim? Do you see how stupid and bereft of any common sense your comments are?
- MJL

York, Drysdale and Walker are more skilled, better skaters and have better shots than Sanheim, and in the context of 3v3 which is what we are talking about here, they are better options. Try to keep up with the context of the conversation, I know its hard for you to keep up with adults.

Frost has only played 5 games? I must be hallucinating.

4 points in 5 game is pretty good. That's first line level.

Sanheim is a better skater than all three of them and has 29 ESP this season compared to only 15 for York and 18 for Walker.

He's also the only Flyers dman to score a point at 3on3 this season.

Sanheim - 1 assist in 23:24

All other Flyers dmen - 0 points in 26:32

Because IMO Sanheim is not as effective 3v3, and York, Walker and Drysdale are more skilled offensive defenseman.
- jd250

York can break up plays much better than sanheim can which is much needed in OT the offensive ability helps a ton too

That's why they're really rebuilding by trading Seeler and Walk... oh.

which is why we get players to compliment him Michkov will probably play center here no? so that makes frost our 2nd line guy once Michkov is ready

that seems like a great position for him, then fill in the wingers

It's almost like the Flyers do not have any top line talent. They have a bunch of middle six and 4th liners at forward. They have maybe 2-3 top 4 d-men that are signed past this year. Ersson looks like a longterm starter in goal. Hooray.

They are in a playoff spot. That's good news. Some of the young guys are solidifying themselves as NHL regulars. That is good news. We will see what they do this week in terms of the roster.

LONG way to go with this roster.

Thus, I believe you put your fastest and most skilled players out there, gain puck possession and make the other team defend.
- jd250

How are we supposed to defend if they're defending? Ever think of that? If the other team is defending we'll block ZERO shots. How will we build a standard then?

At 5on5, which takes out the ENG that York is really good at but don't happen in OT, Sanheim has 25 points this season compared to 11 for York. The ice time difference is only 58 minutes.

https://www.naturalstattr...ines=single&draftteam=ALL

If I said Poehling had more offensive ability than Tippett even though Tippett has twice as many 5on5 points this season in 87 more minutes, you would rightly laugh.

Forward wise, Konecny, Farabee and Tippett are all first line level talents. Frost is 2nd line. That's about it right now.

IMO Sanheim is not a better skater then the other defenseman I mentioned, and add up the number of OT scoring chances Sanheim has had compared to the others mentioned. And yet only 1 OT point.

He was the Flyers top prospect for a while and as always the Flyers oversell their own talent. They are doing it again with Drysdale which the fan base will turn on probably next year.

I hope that the fans have more patience with JD. He’s clearly got great talent and he’s only 21. He has the potential tail to be a really special player, an elite player so long as he’s given a chance to gain experience.

Frost is lower end 2C, or upper 3C. Frost is not close to the top 2Cs in the game today.
