Bill, was that final play to Sanheim onsides? Obviously didn’t matter because he didn’t score but the first thing that I thought of watching it. Bunch of bodies on the blue line so it was tough to tell.

Flyers have a terrible PP and are down two RHD.

The Canes have made Angelo available for a 5th.

So does Briere add a familiar face to help chase the playoff dream? I assume it's legal under the CBA to trade for a player you bought out.

Frost could adopt every dog in the world and torts still would not trust him enough to put him in a position to shine

I think it has to be one seasoned removed from buyout - I could be wrong though

The Flyers collapsing and missing the playoffs while extending Walker & Seeler would be totally on point for the organization.

The Flyers have been the poster child for mediocrity and general ineptitude since 2012.

I’m throwing a party this Saturday, I was hoping some of you could attend. I’m not miserable enough, so I was looking to fix this.

Bill again outlines the flaws in Tortorella's in game strategy and coaching.

It would but I just believe the Flyers are going to make the playoffs. The teams below them aren't good enough. The Devils are in desperate need of a goalie.

I believe the Flyers will make the playoffs and I believed this since mid November. There have been some doubts from that time to now but there’s nothing wrong with having faith in your team, season by season, even if they disappoint. I believe they’ll make it but if they don’t, nobody is a fool for watching them play and hoping they get as far as possible.

Bill,
Any word circulating about Couts dealing with any specific injuries/ailments? Or did Torts just run him into the ground by playing 20+ minutes every game earlier in the season? Thanks

Yeah maybe, though I never underestimate the Flyers ability to go on a long losing streak

I hear you but the style they play seems to prevent that for the most part.

As long as Ersson stays healthy will keep losing streak length to a minimum. If he gets hurt, good fortune in goal will be needed to sustain a winning streak.

Thursday at Florida
Saturday at Tampa Bay
3/12 home to Sharks (Flyers gave them their 1st win)
3/14 Toronto home
3/16 at Boston
3/19 Toronto home
3/21 at Carolina
Back to back home Boston and Florida 23/24
3/26 at Rags

Hate to be a Debbie Downer but the bottom is about to fall out. Obviously they won't go 0 for everything but nothing aside from San Jose is favorable.

Who doesn't love watching Cates and Poehling chase the puck for 2mins straight?

It really felt like Kyrou and Thomas were on the ice for the entire OT.

So if these rumors are true perhaps there’s a package that includes Walker and Laughton to Edmonton. The salary taken by the Flyers with quality assets going the other way would surely be worth a 1st, and a prospect or two like Broberg and/or Halloway. A deal like that would make Edmonton even stronger down the middle, a slightly better RHD, and some salary to still acquire another offensive player. I love silly season.

That’s one tough schedule. But if they come out at .500 they almost are sure to make the playoffs. Round 1 of the playoffs won’t be any easier than this gauntlet so time to step up.

Sharks, Habs, and the Blackhawks. Is the only games flyers will be a favorite on paper in the harsh March schedule. 📅 ➕️ many third-fourth line players getting first line minutes. And a ton of key players looks toast and tired.
