I feel like there's been a lot of agent (frank)ery along these lines in the NBA lately as well. Agents trying to get their clients to specific teams at all costs because of other clients' wishes. Klutch Sports is notorious for this. Has resulted in some lawsuits.

If I'm the Rangers, I'm not sure I trade Laf for Jake straight up without the promise of an extension.

I think a deal is going to happen, but we probably won't be thrilled with the return. If Rutherford is involved, he'll get his man.

Still hoping there's multiple teams involved, but seems a few destinations are likely gone.

If the deal involves a western conference team it’s still not even happy hour. I remember being at happy hour at Fridays in consol with Shero across the bar working the phone in what I can only assume was the iginla deal. Wasn’t announced till late evening.

Dubas prob should have taken a deal already seeing as everyone else is getting people. Once again he waited too long. I don’t want to see Jake resigned. I know he will be better than any replacement but I want change on this team.

Weekes says he’s heard of a potential three way deal with Van/Bos where we get DeBrusk back. I hope that’s just people spitballing cus that would suck for us unless we’re getting some serious prospects too.

Debrusk is UFA so if he is coming back, it's likely a salary offset. That or Dubas wants to sign him to an extension.

That would be awesome! I heard Debrusk mentioned yesterday. Jake DeBrusk and John Beecher to the Penguins, with the Canucks sending Vasily Podkolzin to us as well in a 3 team deal. That was what I heard and wrote yesterday. I really want Hoglander as I keep saying. That deal you proposed would open up some significant cap space for us.

Is Podkolzin even a prospect at this point? He’s 23 in the AHL. I know he has pedigree but it seems like his time is passing.

I think we are holding out for someone better due to this fact. He is kinda like Nylander. Even though he isn't a good example since he is now lighting it up for CBJ haha!

Fire him down to Zona..they're gonna need to get to the cap floor. Even Calgary might want a player with term as it seems they have a hard time keeping players... Plus they've shipped out a chunk of their D core already this last week.
