Nice pass by washed up MM.
Every line scored tonight. That’s nice to see - nyisles7
Also nice to see them playing to the final horn........ other than a stretch of the 2nd period. |

Yup, LA is a more talented team. Could be a good one.

I was hesitant to want Nelson on that top line regularly but the way 27 44 and 21 are playing I think it's possible. The real key to all of this is Maclean playing so well on the 4th line allowing the other centers to move up. The 18 53 10 line hasn't been bad by any stretch.
Not making a move at the deadline was because it would have been a player going the other way and therefore a lateral move and Maclean playing allowed a team already deep at center to move Nelson to the top line which was in and of itself like a move for a scoring winger. Not sure if they can keep this up but their play under Roy is light years ahead of where it was and I think sustainable because they have bought into his system and are seeing the results. Cutting the shots against from almost worst in the league to one of the top teams since he's been here is also huge for our goalies and isn't wearing them out with a heavy workload. Bortuzzo is back soon as well and if aho can't handle the physical game then he can, anyone think we need to extend riely? |

I think you offer him a one yr deal. He’s been fine to good which is great for a bottom pairing defenseman. |

He jumps up in the play and gets shots through. Not sure on term but they should keep him for sure |

End of the 2nd is probably my cutoff tonight. I didn't feel good about this game coming in, quite honestly. A back2back at 10:30 just sucks. Hope they get it together
* what an awful decision by Engvall on that 3 on 1 |

They looked good in first, fell asleep and woke up to 3-0 lose. They not going to win every game down the stretch. To me it was a good road trip. |

I can live with it on the 2nd night of a back-to-back/last game of the west coast swing, after the way they've been playing. Gotta get right back up in the saddle on Thursday though because dropping points against Buffalo or Ottawa is pretty much unacceptable with NYR/CAR/DET/FLA/TBL coming up the rest of the month. |

I would like to see Isles add Jakob Chychrun into the mix next year and try and move on from Mayfield and maybe Pullock. His numbers this season would put him second to Dobber and he is only 25 which would fit in the future.
Maybe Wally could be part of deal.
Maybe something that happens at the draft. |
