Anyone here like buchnevich? He's got another year left and would cost a 1st and a current prospect which we may lack. Would be a good fit I think |

I can’t hear the name Buchnevich without hearing Sam Rosen say it. That said, he’s a LW and is a great skater, who can bury. |

I always liked Ebs on the isles. Sucks that they had to leave him unprotected |

It's all good as long as Palms can keep things going.

I’m not interested in following the Rangers model of trading picks for high priced stars. I’m only interested in moving the first rounder for a piece to the puzzle. - kindlyrick
To be fair the rangers did a short rebuild so they drafted a lot of their lineup. That’s what I’m referring too.
I don’t think this team could trade their first and get that “piece to the puzzle” that wins them a cup. |

Yup, Wahlstrom is a good example of how drafting is a bit of a crapshoot. He was considered a solid pick at #11 overall. It wasn't a matter of weak scouting. But now multiple coaches have all but given up on him.
Then if the Isles make the playoffs, they wouldn't even be picking as high as #15. So if there's a significant upgrade available, Lou may well go for it. And I wouldn't blame him.... I just hope he doesn't trade for Engvall's brother. - JohnScammo
But is the timing right? |

Yeah I can’t recall any team that found success that constantly traded their first round picks for five consecutive seasons that was a perimeter playoff team to begin with? 😆 |

I think he would be a great fit but the cap hit is 5.8 and as you said he’s signed for next year.
The room isn’t there unless The Blues retain some salary.
As far as prospect we have Wally. Hell we would have won the Stanley cup if Trotz played him. |

Don’t get me wrong for a Shane Pinto kind of player it makes sense due to their age and skill set but I don’t realistically see that happening. |

I just don’t think Shane Pinto is the answer for the isles. For me, I don’t trade the first for Shane Pinto. I guess we’ll see at 3:01 with ol’ cards to his vest Lou |

Wahlstrom healthy scratched last 5 games. Isles win last 5 games. I don’t know what kinda value Wally has, but it appears he’s not in the cards with this franchise |

The Sabres traded captain Kyle Okposo to the Florida Panthers for defenseman Cale Sjalin and a conditional 7th-round draft pick. |

Well if the Panthers win the Cup I'll be happy for him. I wish I didn't hate that team so much so I could root for him |

Maroon is an odd pickup for Boston. They already have Frederic. Maybe he's just going to be a 13th forward. |
