Based on what yinzer colleagues @Real_RobRossi and @JoshYohe_PGH
have reported on Guentzel, if #NYR are going far down that road that means they're willing to part with either Othmann or Perreault along with a 1st.

That'd be a big change in deadline philosophy for #NYR

I do suspect what we’re seeing so far with Jake Guentzel includes some interested GMs trying to make it more costly/too costly for in-division/in-conference opponents they may see in postseason.

And if so, that’s probably good for Kyle Dubas and Penguins.

Wennberg called getting traded to #NYR “the most exciting thing I’ve been a part of.” Loaded his family of 3 on a red-eye flight last night, landed in NY at 8am and got to the training center at 9:40. His wife is 37 weeks pregnant with their second child, so exciting times indeed

I’d say between 8-9 mill? Probably 8 years NMC. And yes it’s a good idea imo. He one of the better playoff guys in recent memory. He’s over a PPG

I don't see any possible trade that involves Perrault - especially given his meteoric development this year. No chance.

Othmann idk - I would have said no but if Dolan is pressuring for a cup now, I could see it. G would have to come with term/be signed though.

I did a few of the next year rosters in CF and I think it’s doable. Goodrow would be certainly gone and that’s when you could see Kakko moved in the off season probably. But they definitely have room to do something fairly large like that

I don’t understand you guys that are including Kakko in a trade like this. We still end up with vesey on our 3rd line this way. For guentzel or another high scoring winger I’d be be ok with that. Crouse has never been a first line winger
