Jacob Perreault is a very different prospect from Jan Mysák. Much more unilateral. Trading in a well-rounded player for a pure offensive forward is a bet on upside.
I like this. Habs have a logjam of potential bottom-six NHLers, and not enough upside in the system.
Can they get his brother now? Scabeh would be happy with Gabe also on the Habs - Symba007
most wanted to see him with MTL back then no, so sounds like a good try with not much to loose ?

They should have traded 1 of Marner or Nylander before the start of the season, created real depth on defence, and invested in a goalie.
I am not sure who is being more hardheaded - Leafs and their top 4 or the NHL and insisting Arizona will work (or just as bad, Atlanta 3.0 is a good idea). - Mashadar
They love their prima donna BIG NAMES in Toronto, they sell seats to fefans and the Toronto Sports Network (TSN) always go GaGa for them.
Building a solid defense has always been seen as secondary over there ... then they wonder why they can never do anything in the playoffs when the play gets a lot more tight.

Reminds me when the Flyers had those really strong teams, but would never invest in a goalie. They could have won a couple of cups.

This is an important factor tomorrow in the case of Joshua Roy. There is also a limited number of recalls each team is allowed after the deadline, so if Roy or anyone else is simply “papered” to Laval it uses up one of those recalls.
Wonder if the Habs will paper some guys to Laval for flexibility in their playoff run?
Roy a good example. RHP and maybe some others as well.

This dates from a looong time in Toronto, they always get wet when they get a BIG NAME ... even if the guy is over the hill.
Unfortunately, we've also had some GMs with the same mentality since Serge Savard was our GM ... Big Serge knew better. |

He was lights out for my pool earlier in the season, when they had all those injuries.
When everyone came back from injuries, he was knocked down the line-up, reduced minutes played significantly.
Regardless, not gonna worry about what KK has done or not done.
he is gone.
