After they traded their most consistent d man this year…they may be in for the “let down game”. - landros 2
The Flyes just need to go .500 the rest of the this month and they will get in, I think they can do it. |

Culture? Seriously how old are you people? Are you all teenagers who call the players by their nicknames like Coots and Torts like you actually sit on the bench?
Just stop. It’s embarrassing. This is a business designed to make money. The players goal is to maximize their opportunities to make millions. Period. The clowns on here who attack and insult each other need a life. A real life.
Teams don’t a damn about culture. |

GET OFF MY LAWN! Damn dude. A team culture isn’t some mythical experience. There is something to it. It may have other names and may mean different things to different people.
Winning has a way of masking bad mojo on a team.
If you suck and lose more often than not then the warts are more visible.
This just doesn’t apply to sports teams but business, households or neighborhoods.
As far as using nicknames in posts who gives a crap.
For myself im just to lazy to constantly type out a guys name. Typing TK is just easier than typing his whole name.
Your welcome!

Will Danny take less than a first? - FlyersGrace

What have the jets done? Nothing yet right? And they had been scouting the hell out of the flyers. Makes you wonder. Laughton sick of the fact he’s going to be wearing blue soon? |

I hear you but culture and standard and what it means to be a Flyer and all the other mythical and immeasurable qualities that the Flyers are selling and some are foolishly buying have gotten the Flyers exactly what? We're told ridiculous notions like the Hart trophy finalist 100 point player in Giroux and the elite playmaking Voracek were the problems on the past teams. That apparently didn't have enough culture and that was the fault of Giroux and Voracek. All I know is that in my lifetime as a Flyers fan, whenever the Flyers had a high level of skill and talent, they've had really good teams. When they didn't have it, they didn't have very good teams. Blame it on the lack of culture though. With culture being so important and as I'm told, should be put ahead of skill and talent with a rebuilding team. I wonder how we can add more culture to the team? How we can raise the standard so the Flyers can get back to contending? It has to be difficult to gain that with it being basically invisible with no metrics to identify it. I wonder what the strategy should be moving forward for the Flyers to gain more culture. |

If the team called RJ Meg I would wholly support him staying on the team just for the interviews about Meg. |

Culture isn’t synonymous with grinders etc.
The Flyers absolutely defer to the 200 foot game player mentality over the decades instead of taking a shot on talent and skill. The flyers needed a culture change in the front office.
They have been more followers than leaders in the way the built their teams.
By a positive culture each team must demand of each player that losing is unacceptable.
If the acceptance to losing starts to infect a locker room, bench or sideline that has to be fixed immediately.
Torts may have the best of intentions but his methods are not the most effective.
A leader would go to players and demand more and give them options and or suggestions to achieve what he is looking for.
Waiting for players to come to you as a general philosophy is a cowardly way out. In some cases maybe it is justified. I just wouldn’t base my whole coaching philosophy on that. |

He was also asked why he’s not someone they would consider trying to get involved in the mix and he said he can’t get into that right now. maybe sometime in the future he can but not now |

If the culture excuse fails maybe lack of diversity could be the next blame strategy.

Good luck with that. The Avs are ecstatic that they were able to offload him. He’s too slow and not able to create separation. He’s too slow to play top 6 and too soft to play bottom six. Nobody wants him with that contract. It’s good to dream though.

is culture mythical? can you please clarify. thanks.
bobby and CC were/are not winners. they lead the country club atmosphere during their run. has nothing to do with their talent as clearly they were both very good. neither one valued winning as a top priority. why do you think not 1 top team every wanted jake? |

Is Deslauriers back in? The Panthers play a heavy game and I’m worried about our higher skilled players. Also a bit concerned about the locker room in between periods.
Did Tortsy put him back in the lineup? |
