Really liking how Ersson may have a bad game here and there, but does not string together bad games. He was excellent tonight.

That's definitely true but that's really how the Flyers had to play. In the first period at 5 on 5, the Panthers had 13 scoring chances and 7 high danger chances. In the 2nd and 3rd period combined, the Panthers only had 5 scoring chances and 0 high danger chances over two periods. With two rookie defenseman in the lineup. That's impressive checking. It's not a winning style but it was still strong checking.

What I liked about tonight is after the first period, the Flyers smashed the Panthers in the mouth and they had no answer.

Whoever the Flyers play in the first round are gonna have to muck and grind out four wins somehow.
