That's definitely true but that's really how the Flyers had to play. In the first period at 5 on 5, the Panthers had 13 scoring chances and 7 high danger chances. In the 2nd and 3rd period combined, the Panthers only had 5 scoring chances and 0 high danger chances over two periods. With two rookie defenseman in the lineup. That's impressive checking. It's not a winning style but it was still strong checking.

Must have been the case! I saw a young team with no superstars beat top ranked team team! I also saw 2 young defensemen keep up with yhe odds favorite cup contenders hard to play against forwards. A saw a rookie goalie handle the pressure and only gave up 1 goal and it didn’t really look out of place in at any point.
