Yea, that's not really a playoff type game. The Flyers played a conservative tight checking style tonight. Pulled back the forecheck aggressiveness. In the playoffs, a team like Florida is going to ramp up the intensity and it's very doubtful that the Flyers will be successful with that style. The Flyers played hard and competed, checked very well and won the game. The deserve credit for that but it's not a style I want to see the team continuing to play. - MJL
This team played their game and eat a top ranked team in their rink pretty late in the season. At this point the Flyers don’t have the talent depth to play any style the other team wants to play.
I give them full credit, as it seeems you do as well, for beating a top ranked team playing to their own strengths.
I’m not say the Flyers have tithe corner but it was a very solid hard fought win that the young players can build their confidence with.
Feeling confident is part of a rebuild too! |

I must have blacked out cause I have no memory of having a seizure. You are truly gonna go down with the ship on this aren't you flagpole? In the context of his quote he WASN'T describing how the game was being played. He was whining that the Flyers were playing boring and wanted them to open it up against the hottest team in the league. Had to be one of the dumbest comments on here in a long time and that boggles the mind. How can you NOT get this simple fact through your humongous head? - Phillywhiteout
He made an accurate observation and you went off the deep end. You really should admit to drinking, being high or off your meds. It would be better for you.

They didn't even play their normal style of play. What happens when you get talent? Then start playing a different way. I get that the coaches job is to win and they deserve credit for that. However, that's not a playoff level game. You aren't going to win anything playing that way in the playoffs.

Sorry, but you seem to be the one that is hallucinating this evening if you continue to stand on this ridiculous hill that you are camping out on. Why don't you go back and see his quote that I was referring to and scurry right on back, but hurry cause I gotta get up early tomorrow. Some of us actually work for a living. |

What a loser you must be in real life. Although I'm sure you are currently stroking off to your Jo Jo poster that is smartly taped to the ceiling above your bed. |

The hill I'm camped on is that his statement was accurate. You're so foamed up at the mouth that you don't even realize that you stated that he was right. That's what's so funny here. Yet you went off. Admitting that you haven't been drinking, aren't high or it's not a schizophrenia issue with medication, is a bad move. At least that would give you an excuse for your absurdity. |

you got nothing - THE BLACK HAND Oh yeah, but that puck luck situation is still rattling around in your empty head and tormenting you day after day. It'll be okay. I'm sure your buddy MJL would be more than happy to stop by and give you a pat on the head.

Thank you for the analysis doctor. I didn't think you had a job outside of HB. Nice to see you as always, even arguing with and criticizing people after a great game and nice win. I don't feel like back-reading, but did you provide us with your usual schtick about what a strong game Frosty played? I didn't notice him much but I'm sure you clocked every second he was on the ice. How much did ND's 6-7 minutes spoil the game? Again, what kid would you like to see develop and benefit from NDs ice time?

Great win against the best team in the league in their barn. Played the perfect road game and Ersson was exceptional. Go Flyguys! Torts for Jack Adams! |

Yes sir! I don't expect much if/when we make the playoffs but I will enjoy the wins, especially against top teams. Loving Ersson more and more. I know it's a pipe dream but I hope he makes us forget about Hart. I'm not a fan of some of Torts' tactics but teams can't take them as a joke so I give him credit for that. Go Flyers!

I think they would scare the $hit out of someone in the playoffs, so I'd love to see them get in. Maurice after the game... "We knew it wouldn't be easy for us. They play hard and it was even, and they got a break there at the end". They are respected again. The two kids on defense played exceptional as well and they brought a physical element that this team badly needs on defense. Just keep playing Ersson unless there are back to backs. As I predicted, my buddy Frosty was virtually invisible in this game as I fully expected. Basically zeroes across the board. 3 of 9 at the dot with no hits and 1 giveaway. Had a 2 on 1 and didn't even look at the net despite being in a better shooting position, and the pass was broken up for not even a scoring chance. I'm sure the fancy numbers suggest that he was all over it and had a great game though. - Phillywhiteout
I agree 100% that this team will scare the $hit out of teams in the playoffs.
I don't say that in terms of them beating a team, though they certainly could do that. What SHOULD scare the $hit out of them is that whoever they play is going to get worn down to the nub in a knock down, drag out fight that will hurt them moving forward.

The Flyers with their ability to check with tight gaps and puck support can be competitive against any team. However they have difficulty scoring and that problem won't get better in the playoffs. If they play a top team such as Carolina or Florida, that team will ramp up their intensity and unless the Flyers can steal a series with goaltending. They're not likely to do much other than compete.

Couturier had a better game last night.
The 3rd pair played confidently. Just one game but they didn't look like liabilities which i wasn't sure what to expect.
I know they won but there is no need to have Brink sit for Deslaurier or Atkinson. That bothers me.
