Yes, but he was playing with TK and Tippet at times, so he should be noticeable. In the end I didn't see him do anything special in this game, but then again this was a very tight checking game, where the Flyers really shut down Florida after the first period.

I thought he was solid…with Frost he sometimes makes lateral or offensive plays that are ill advised. I don’t remember any of those last night. Against FLA you get killed with those mistakes….I don’t think he stood out but that’s a game I think Torts will be pleased with overall.

That’s why I like Tip with Coots…helps to have a guy that solid on the other side of the puck with Tippet whom I think will improve defensively. I didn’t see any wow moments from Frost but I did see some nice little subtle plays that made me come away from the game thinking he played good…as did the whole team.
Atkinson continues to really struggle.

agree Tip with Coots works for me. With a 2-1 tight game, the little plays won the day, just not a lot of wow moments, expect Ginning laying out Reinhart.

Are we going there this early on trade deadline day? I remember last year waiting all (frank)in day to see Fletcher trade JVR then stroll to the podium to say he had no offers…Trades were to hard….and his trade app said he did good.
So today I’m actually in a good mood. I’d like to see DB surprise us all and do something no one saw coming.

That trade for Guentzel is even worse than I thought. They didn't even get a 1st. Its really our old 2nd and only becomes a 1st if they make the final. Plus they only get the 5th if Carolina wins the cup.

So 4 middling prospects and a 2nd for Guentzel and Ty Smith.

They wrecked their franchise when they traded for Karlsson. Dubas needs to go....

Interested to see how Bunting looks alongside Sid. Guy's already proven in TO that he can keep up with great players. And Sid always elevates everybody that plays with him.

Also will be interesting to see if Guentzel can maintain his level w/o Sid.
