You give him a chance and hold him accountable. The culture fallback is bulls**t. The team has autocratic leadership(Torts). Cohesion and conformity taken to an extreme is groupthink. Torts’ model is sustainable for about two years before it frays. Maybe Johansen doesn’t work out. But you don’t waste an asset before finding out.

I think they are going to buy out RyJo. Torts hates that dude. I would not be surprised to see RyJo, Peterson and Atkinson all bought out. So that number will 100% go up.

Culture barely matters when you don't have the talent to win the games. The top teams all have multiple HOF forwards, Norris-trophy dmen and Vezina-level goaltenders. There's no way any of the Flyers teams over the past 15-years could measure up.
