It’s gotta be the prospects. One is a Finnish forward having a great season I know that.

Who knows though. I really don’t know what the equivalent of a Rangers package would have been if you exclude Othmann and Perreault

The hardest comp is Bunting. Rangers didn’t have a similar piece to offer. Kakko is obviously much more valuable.

Prospect wise, probably something like Berard, Sykora, McConnell-Barker which would have been a no brainer.

That roster player piece clearly the holdup. Bit surprised how much Dubas valued Bunting.

Rangers could’ve matched. Reality is that the canes just have a way deeper prospect pool than ny and could afford to unload those players. They still kept their top 2-3 guys
