The #NYR have assigned forwards Adam Edstrom & Matt Rempe to AHL-Hartford to make them eligible to play for Wolf Pack in 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs & remainder of AHL's 2023-24 regular season.

Not sure if this was brought up. |

In hindsight, Roslovic/Guentzel is better than roslivic/kakko. Couldve offered a 1st, kakko and othmann. That may have made NY favorites. - nyrangers2
Same for the other big name RW (Frankie and Buch). I think the asking price for them was far too high and after the JG trade to Carolina, GM's saw the mediocre return and were at that "no fvcking way I'm offering that after seeing this deal". That kept the other GM's from overpaying for these other two. |

Way too much. Probably twice his value.

Still think Buch was the best choice. He knows a bunch of players on this team, hes a rw and he has a year left on the contract. If you give a 1st for a guy who is going to be a ufa, makes sense to give 2 for a guy who has 2 years. |

I agree. I would have given that up for Buch, but also not terribly sad Drury did not. Kind of a win-win. If he made the deal and Rangers fell short, he'd be fired. |

Yeah, Im fine with the pick ups, but definitely would have been thrilled with Buch |

I never know what to get from u guys. If it was just 1st and 1 of them, I would’ve gotten, “r u out of ur mind, way more for a 22 year old that’s already had 2 60+ pt seasons”. I got over and I’m on the pipe. Can’t win. |

Look at it this way... if the draft was today Perrault would likely be top 3 if not 1OA. Othmann is a top tier prospect and then you add in a 1st. For what? Idc if Zegras scored 20 Michigan goals and is on the cover of all the EA games - he's not worth that.

From an organizational view I think its way too much. Giving away 2 best prospects plus a 1st rounder for 1 player. Do I think hes worth that much in the market, probably close I would say 1st rounder, top prospect and mid level pic/prospect |

There’s also the very real fact that they (Vatrano and Buch) weren’t available. Armstrong said Buch wasn’t available. Vatrano made it clear he wanted to stay.
Rumors are rumors.

I would have given up a two 1sts or a 1st and Othmann, plus Robertson, to get Buch with 50% retention.
This was the most the Blues would have ever gotten for Buch, if they try to trade him at the deadline next year, they will not get this value. |

This is the most logical response. Everyone is saying "I would have offered this." and the truth is... we will never know what was offered or even if they were available. The fact that no other team got them, tells me they probably were either A - not available or B - price was astronomically high. |
