He had a solid first half of the season for a player missing two seasons of hockey. The coach overplayed him due to how effective he actually was. That has led to him getting a little banged up. Most people with common sense expect that it will take some time for a full recovery. Most people with common sense realize that a player and contract will be judged over the full length of the deal.

You made the statement that the Islanders have a cup cake schedule. Out of the remaining games the Islanders have, they play LA, Rangers 3 times, Detroit, Winnipeg, NJ twice, Florida, TB, Flyers and Nashville.

The Flyers have hypothetically easy games on the schedule against San Jose, Montreal, Chicago. Buffalo and Columbus.
