The way I see it, if they keep performing well and the way Johnson has played doesn’t make it a lock either has completely lost their spot.
That said, it feels a little like they are trying the ole “be competitive and rebuild at the same time” plan. I hope we don’t look back five years from now and say man, why did they have to win so many games that year, it stopped them from a full tear down. |

The “unreliable” (lol) Di Marco has absolutely crushed the deadline coverage for the Flyers. By far the best out there in terms of insider info for the team this year. - Flyers1218

Hahahaha, yep. Breaking news before Friedman. I’d take that kind of spoon feeding too. |

can you blame ginning for wanting out? granted his play wasn't great in LHV; it was solid.
though a rebuilding team should have been giving him and Attard long looks. never about the long game. |

Veteran who brings culture to the team and adds to the standard. Allows Tortorella to over play him and to scratch more young players?

do you think they acquired Johnson to not play him? you think the coach would disrespect him like that? make him pack up to sit the bench? |

Ideally the Flyers would go Zamula-Johnson and keep Ginning-Attard together. |

He’s not been good. Apparently he’s been “sick” but there is rumor he just no longer wanted to play here. Not sure if there is any truth to that though.
Also, Buffalo is awful and the coach and GM are idiots so there is that. |

Haha - shocker that some still can't grasp what a rebuild actually is. You think you play 20 kids at a time and hope for the best.. |

bottom line is I doubt they told him he will not play much. He will play unless he just flat out stinks. then maybe he comes out.
so comparing the 2 is a bad comparison. |

One of the great benefits of the Flyers making the playoffs is that the young players will get playoff experience. Of course some of them won't be playing in the playoffs if the Flyers make it.

Imagine some Flyer fans if they went through a San Jose type of rebuild...
Even Chicago is picking up and signing vets, but only the Flyers do that.

I would settle for Stall as the #7 until Risto or Drysdale come back.
