I get that, Jan. But, how many times have we seen a coach upset and call the ref over for a chat about it? They never refuse. This time McCauley wouldn't and Torts wanted to stay to have his say/explanation. I don't think that's out of line. If McCauley had talked to him and he kept flipping out and refused to leave, big difference, IMO. - Tonybere

Especially when the Bj's owner said he would cover any fine.
It's not the fine I have a problem with. Refs should be accountable at least enough to talk about their decision with a head coach. These guys are trending toward MLB umpires where they apparently breathe better air than common folk and how dare anyone challenge their interpretation of things. To suspend a coach ultimately because the ref refused to engage with him about a call is preposterous. |

You're being intentionally obstinate.
At no time did the ref address Torts, as he was asking for. I clearly said IF THE REF HAD TALKED TO HIM and then he refused to leave it would be different. |

Ever since he’s been back he’s fought off the demon inside of him that got him banned in the first place and every now and then baphomet pokes his head out to say hi. The veil is growing thinner with each passing day however

The younger ref went over and spoke to Torts. Torts cursed him and kept yelling at McCauley. Then McCauley waived him off and Torts said he wasn't leaving. McCauley is an bumhole, but he's not wrong here. Torts was looking for the confrontation. |

If Rempe didn't know how to hit, he wouldn't have gotten passed junior hockey. He's trying to make an impact every shift to make sure he doesn't get sent right back down to the Pack. He needs to learn to control his body and emotions. I think we've seen that he has enough of a game to stick around if he can learn this lesson, if just barely. Hopefully, he can adjust. - Tonybere

How many games should Rempe be suspended???
I say 1-2 games… first time! can’t extend elbow! Gotta use your legs and skate to catch guys with big hits! Sometimes you gotta know when hold’em and know when to fold’em! 🙌🏿

Wow, 4 games. He really should have slew-footed him... that's not a penalty at all. |

Basically Morgan Reilly’s hit was worth only one more game that what Rempe did. DoPS continues to be a farce |

McCauley made the call, not the other ref. Why would Torts want to talk to that guy about McCauley's rationale? That is bs. |
