And If I was in McCauley's situation, I probably wouldn't engage Torts either. Give him the boot and keep the game moving. The Refs didn't conspire to have Torts make himself look bad.

But in the end, maybe it's a good thing. Hopefully it will teach him a lesson that you can't do these illegal hits. He can be an effective player, just needs to tone it down a bit. Hope he learns from it.

Pretty much. I get the dislike for McCauley. I don't like him. But whatever said also earned him a 2 game suspension and 50k fine. So there is that and from the video, the 3 other on ice officials went over to him and he told them (frank) off and he was staying right here. Like ok, good luck with that.

Honestly, I'm not that upset it's a lengthier 4 games... Yes, that line was clicking. But I'd prefer to see if they can build some chemistry with Edstrom (all of 1 inch shorter, but plays less physical/reckless and is the better skater) or JBrod on the 4th line. Which, if we're being real, that's the more sustainable line for a long playoff run than Rempe being in the lineup anyways.

I think the issue is he's been treading a fine line for a few games, and the eyes of the NHL DPoS have been watching.
