What is the deal with RR? I feel like someone should check the local morgue.. - Hextall271 Ha ha, I asked that very question on here yesterday. I'm like, did he die? Not a peep out of anyone about the guy. Season ending surgery incoming? |

Is it me or does RR always get hurt around the trade deadline?

I haven't noticed really. Sad part is that he wasn't playing that terribly. We kind of need him now as what we're trotting out there isn't going to get us to the playoffs and we might still be screwed with RR and seeler. If I'm the flyers, I shut down Drysdale. He is going to come back and pop that shoulder right out again. It's sad, but doesn't look like the team did its diligence on that trade. |

Well, the 7 game gauntlet has arrived. What's the saying...what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. If this stretch doesn't kill them they should secure a playoff spot. Have to at least squeak out 2 wins in this stretch and 3 would be even better (4 would be a near miracle). Looks like it's going to come down to the Isles, Flyers and Wings for those final 2 tickets to the dance. Is Seeler really this important to the PK. That PK last night looked like the PK ghosts from years gone by. Wide open passing lanes galore. Put Ginning back in! It can't hurt. Can it? - Phillywhiteout
I would like to see Ginning in there in place of Staal, but maybe the Flyers want Johnson to get acclimated before they do this. |

It looked like Drysdale dislocated his shoulder on that hit. That's 12-16 weeks to fully recover, so I don't expect him back this year. He needs to get stronger which he will, but he also needs to keep his head up all the time!
RR has played well for the Flyers since Tort's and Shaw have worked with him. I think Torts said it correctly the other day in his presser, everybody hates RR around here and it's stupid because he is a good player. |

When comparing schedules, i think the Isles get the 3rd Metro spot. We fight it out with the Wings who are in a free fall. Them continuing the trend may be our only shot. |

The worry is that i think that's the shoulder he had surgery on as well. I think the team line on this is that they expected him back at some point. Please no. Keep him out.
I certainly don't hate him. I hate his contract and what we gave up to give him. Had we signed him as a UFA for 2 mil a year, I'd be fine. |

I think the Flyers have some skill but they are not getting the most out of that skill. For example, Tippet and Foerster should be better finishers than they are. Tippet has always been able to generate shots, and I liked the way he was moving on the weak side on the PP last night, but his achilles heel so far with the Flyers is he does not finish enough. If he did Tippet would be a consistent 40+ goal scorer. Foerster has the shot to also be a big goal scorer in this league, but he doesn't know yet how to get to the areas of the ice where he can use it more effectively, and of course he needs a player that can get him the puck in his spot. I'm glad Frost scored on his shot last night, he is another player that I think if he would only shoot more he could score for this team. - jd250
Lak of finishing is not what is keeping or is going to keep Tippett from being a 40 goal scorer. He might get 30 this year. Might. What is keeping him from reaching that level is he right now lacks the ability to play off of his linemates. How to get himself in open areas of the ice and into seams and soft spots in the ice. Developing chemistry with linemates. |

Ristolainen is not a good player. He is a mediocre player. He is a player who has declined to the point where he is a 3rd pair defenseman that if not playing in a conservative defensive system, is a complete liability. While having a 5.1 cap hit. To the point where the Flyers likely would like to move him but that is not going to be easy. He is a player that I can see is headed for a future buyout. |

It was the same shoulder and certainly looked like a dislocation the way he was holding it. Unfortunately shoulder injuries seem like ones that constantly reoccur once injured . |

That saucer pass by Frost for a breakaway was a beaut. - Hesh_
The Frost discourse is boring, so we'll be referring to him as Froster from now on.
Earlier, Joel Farabee (19th goal) of the season, took an aerial saucer stretch pass from Morgan Froster and went in to score on a breakaway against Magnus Chrona (39 saves on 42 shot) at 3:29 of the opening period. |

5 on 5 available ice time was down due to how many penalties the Flyers took. Frost doesn't play on the PK. - MJL
It's still funny that Froster finished with the lowest 5on5 TOI on the team while getting 1st star. The waiver claim had 1:16 more.

This is not a well founded opinion. MJL explained this above- Flyers had 12 penalty minutes last night. Frost does not kill penalties. - missingmike

Do they have the middle name johansen? They should all go on vacation for the next 3 years.
Man that Ellis deal worked out. I wonder how much we paid him per those 4 games? 15 mil? Haha |

I have no idea about shoulder injuries but is there a procedure that can be done to help him with his shoulder going forward?
He has a ton of potential and I'd hate to see his skill go to waste with constant injuries |

Bobby Brink with the lowest minutes out of all forwards. Rebuilding development at it's finest.
On another note. Isn't it amazing how Hathaway seems like a far more effective player once he was separated from the black hole of Nick Deslauriers?

Outside of how the Flyers are playing, which has been fun, the downside is not knowing when injured players are going to return. Fans are getting zero timelines. I think we were told during the first half of last season that Atkinson could return at anytime and of course it never happened. The defense definitely need all the help we can get on the backend. I’m not putting my hopes into a Drysdale return but who knew that we would actually miss Ristolainen and Seeler as much as we are?
For me the time of giving “looks” is over. That can wait until September. Put the best possible team on the ice and make playoffs. |

He's becoming an injury prone player too. Missed 16 games last year (I think he was healthy scratched for one) and he could very well miss half this season. Hated the trade, hated the contract and now the player can't even stay healthy. |
