The problem is Frost has these noticeably strong games against teams like Arizona and San Jose. Where was he the weekend before when TK was out and the Flyers needed offense? I'm sorry, the kid has skill, but I agree with Torts, he is not consistent and so far anyway, has not shown up in games against tough opponents. Now I know some will say, "but wait, Frost got two assists against Tampa in a 6-2 Flyers win", but those were goals scored by individual plays and had very little to do with Frost. Now the goal Farabee scored the other night was 100% due to Frost's outstanding play to intercept a pass and then saucer an unbelievable pass to Farabee. I want to see those plays against Boston, and Toronto and Florida and the Rangers coming up. I want to see Frost make those plays every single game; whether his linemates finish off the play is less important to me in evaluating Frost. I want Frost to shoot first when he gets the puck in the slot area. I want him to have more confidence in his own ability to score. If he does this, then he is worth the wait IMO. - jd250
This is another post where you make yourself look like a biased fool. According to you Frost only puts up points against weak teams. Except for the 4 assists against TB, the two assists against Colorado, the two assists against Dallas and the goal and assist against Winnipeg. There is also a 2 goal game against the LA Kings. They don't count though because according to you, those were all goals scored on individual plays and had very little to do with Frost. Frost has produced 33 points on the season. More than half of the points he has produced, 19, have come against teams in a playoff position. Frost is now producing points at a higher rate than Owen Tippett is and is 3rd on the team in point rate. Only behind Konecny and Farabee. When looking at the facts. It proves that you're completely full of poop. |

Gotta believe if there were any shenanigans with this trade, Briere would contest it. - wolfhounds
Briere got the 1st he wanted, and he didn't want Johansen on the Flyers, so it's working out fine so far. I assume the plan is to buy him out, but that can't happen till the summer anyway. So I don't think it matters if Johansen is injured or fake injured right now.

Per the Leafs blogger, it appears that Marner won't be in tonight against us. Here's hoping we play well. - FlyersGrace
Last time they played the Leafs, the Leafs had 3 or 4 guys out and still kicked the Flyers buts. |

You think this helps you? A immature and childish post invoking Hextall? You just posted that the points that Frost has put up have nothing to do with Frost and I'm a joke?

I can’t even. It goes round and round in circles and opinions flip flop. |

Find it interesting that Flyers fans focus their female doging and moaning on Frost now, just like they did with Sanheim, and TK before. The latter two eventually stepped up and turned out pretty good and Frost is likely gonna do the same.
Meanwhile dudes like Hart, Provy and NP (who actually weren't anything special) were cut slack for years because they were once hyped as franchise saviors.
🤷 - Tomahawk
Authentic Flyer fans sure do come up with some wacky stories.
Remember when Risto was being touted as the Flyers best dman?
ZMac is a great 4th liner the team can't do without.
The Flyers needed to keep Provorov to munch all the hard minutes. |

Why is this funny? Some players need tough love, it seems to me Frost is one of them. - jd250 It's funny to me because of the reaction that comment would have gotten from some folks on here.

Wyatt Johnston has back to back 24 goal seasons. He was picked at #23.

Hextall is probably somewhere thoroughly enjoying his life with the millions of dollars he has earned as a hockey player and executive. He has more money than he knows what to do with. - MJL
does that mean he is happy? knowing he was a failure at his only 2 GM stops may weigh on him seeing hoe competitive he once was.

Here is an example of the intelligence and logic that jd250 possesses. The cost of the Ristolainen trade was not bad because Isak Rosen, chosen with the 14th overall pick that the Flyers traded for Ristolainen. Is a bust at 20 years old! Meanwhile, all the player that the Flyers have drafted under Brent Flahr make him a terrific drafter because they're all top notch prospects. Including Tuomaala who is older than Rosen is, and is in the AHL the same as Rosen is. |

i said the other day, Rosen is Buffalos 6th rated prospect, he'd be 2 here.....which made me think of the better players than rosen in that draft that the Flyers missed out on......for RISTO |

I don't understand why people love Dubas. - rayc16
The love for Dubas has dwindled. He was the new shiny toy that Shannahan anointed, appeased the analytics crowd a bit. His steam really slowed after zero success in the post season. I actually thought he did a good job last year surrounding their stars but those same stars fell in their face verse Florida. |

i doubt being a failure makes him feel better - hello it's me 2050
And to compare those records is just asinine, teams that went in different directions. Not apples to apples. |

He appeased the crowds in Pittsburgh as well, by getting rid of players the fans didn't like.... But in the end Granlund has been better than Smith this year, they would have been better off keeping Poehling over some of the old bottom six players they bought in. Maybe I'm wrong and he'll get them back on track next year, but I see them with a long rebuild in front of them. It wasn't Dubas but re-signing Malkin seems like a big mistake.
