9-2-1 is currently a 37% chance. - Lunaion
Need to take it game by game.
Isles win over Detroit in regulation coupled with a Sabres win of any kind and it moves from 37% to a coin flip by this time tomorrow |

And 5 days ago I didn’t think anyone would mkake the playoffs with 90 points while the teams all in the playoff race continue to piss, poop, and puke all over themselves - Swedish_Jesus
Yea ive argued with my buddy over it he was adamant it would be 94 95 points and its just not the reality
I wasn't willing to talk about it untill they beat Detroit on Saturday but they didn't and im still not.
3 in a row with some help and I might be back on the brink of talking about it |

A 90 point scenario won't change a lot tomorrow.

The list of "issues" is growing daily, but they can be categorized into a few areas:
Front office & Coaching - nearly, maybe all even, are Unqualified for the position each holds in the Org. Simply said they are all in over their heads. The only portion I have some hope for iin terms of capabilities is Analytics... But the jury is out with respect to NHL Player analysis.
Players - collectively they are immature. Many are mentally weak. Many crumble under pressure letting that pressure negatively impact their play. Many are just plain soft and are easily intimidated or thrown off their game. It appears a good portion are also willing to get by, not push themselves hard physically. Commitment to being the absolute best they can be doesn't appear to be in their DNA. This is where Country Club atmosphere is often cited.
The above it why I keep harping on the need to overhaul the roster with leadership that has won SC's (Stamkos) and Attitude (B Tkachuk).
If Adams hasn't seen this or is afraid to pursue aggressively, he is blind and not a good assessor of needs nor of reading signals. |

Chad discussed some of this on his last podcast. Something we've talked about a lot here the last few years. KA to Pres, Karmanos to GM, Sam to AGM. They lack experience in their front office and are in danger of losing him to another team.
Underlying is that KA still seems inexperienced, timid, and relies heavily on Karmanos.

The sad part is this was known since TDL of last season...the growth is consistent and rapid....some would call it linear progression |

I rarely listen to hockey podcasts, but when I do I drink Dos Equis... Err, I meant it is ATW.
Only one I would object to is Adams, honestly he needs to be gone or manage accounts payable or something. |

It is true it dates back awhile and that seems to be a good place to start.
I read an article about GM's making moves at the TDL and one of the quotes was from one who stated that a GM needs to be in tune with the pulse of the team...it will send signals that good GM's see and respond appropriately to...
We have a blind donkey as a GM who is content now to slow play ... We have all said it, but really became apparent last offseason.
The signals this season are just as clear.
Anyone who doesn't come to TC ready to play 106 games should be sat for 8 weeks while they transform their body and brain... And it should be made absolutely clear by Adams at Locker Clean out day.
Also, how about the leader staying in Buffalo to work his ass off during that offseason and getting all the 25- players to join him.... Or something akin to that like Gary Roberts |

Like how you brought up TC, they obviously weren't ready to work last TC and preseason. That was a huge part of the crappy first few months. Very Good Point lon! |

Maybe he goes on one of his Benders to finish the year. He's usually good for atleast one stretch of 12 goals in 10 games a year or 2. Hasn't had one yet. |

Because Jack Quinn is still drawing power?
Glass half full take: there is only 12 more opportunities for him to stink it up for us. |
