It always matters. A higher pick is always better to have.

They've reached the portion of the schedule where they don't have the talent to beat the teams they are going to be playing.

They are going to literally hold a playoff spot for close to 90% of the season and not make it. Couple that with the Gauthier and Hart bullpoop and it's the typical garbage of the last decade plus.
